How much of that bracket is going to need to be trimmed?

I am going to say at least half an inch into the bracket.

This is a very nice kit by the way. It works great opening the hood. Just need to modify the bracket somehow.

Just the gold dial or am I missing something bigger? They fit the axle spline, snap ring length for the axle shaft, etc

The base is incorrect. It should be round

I ended up buying steel and shaping it to make a custom rear battery tray bracket. Painted it black as well. Hood struts work perfectly without hitting anything.

Nice kit! Thanks @c2dfj45

Did the battery have to come out for the job or just the photos?

I took it out for working space. I am sure it can be done without taking out the battery though.

NICE WORK! Glad to see it worked out fairly simply. Maybe I can make up a bracket for you RHD guys. Looks like a simple bracket!

I would be happy to donate my bracket to get a good solution for 24V JDM owners. :)

Grinding is acceptable solution, but a designed and manufactured solution would be ideal.

And I’m not a designer or a manufacturer.

Any 24 volt RHD truck with both batteries on the left side will have the same setup.

Thanks .... There is a BJ71 in the shop we can look at on Monday.

If someone wants to donate a bracket, I think my guys could come up with a real quick solution. Maybe just include those at a very slight upcharge for the guys that need them. Looks like a simple bracket.

Boring clean up work. The alternator was greasy/dirty so lots of cleaning, nothing exciting.

Behind it is the Injection pump that I'm shipping off to get checked out...not really excited about getting that bill.

That is the vacuum pump. Those are discontinued. I acquired the last NOS pump in North America for my spare parts stash about three years ago. My internal cost was well north of 700 dollars.
And yes, that was just the pump. No alternator.

Yeah I knew about the vacuum pump on the back...I however did not now it was no longer available, and was $700 internal cost...YIKES! Guess I should quit using that as a door stop :)

In other news, how do people feel about shipping an injection pump off? It makes me nervous to say the least to ship that expensive pump off for it to get broken, or worse lost. Living in the middle of nowhere farm country, options are limited. However, there are quite a few shops that do injector pumps for tractors as thats the main work around here. Would you trust an AG/tractor place that services denso?

Really discontinued? 3B unit but not 1hz?

Hmmnnnnn.....

Cheers

I did not see the injection pump in the photo. I thought you were referring to the vacuum pump as it is behind the alternator.:hillbilly:

In any event don't drop it....:)

As far as the injection pump is concerned you could take it to a local, set it in front of him and see if he starts to twitch.

I sent my supercharger off for overhaul and I insured the hell out of it.
