So happy 21538-31010 is still kicking...just ordered 15 and it seemed like there were a quite a few still floating in warehouses.

Definitely not a cool part, but very annoying if I need them remanufactured.

@wngrog

Accelerator pump plunger check ball retainer.

On every 2bbl from 69-92, but not in any rebuild kits. One of the few things still floating around thankfully since it’s not a -6xxxx specific part.

It’s better have and not need than to need and not have!

Caution before purchasing those chrome cranks.
They require the matching window regulator with a 5mm nipple on the crank gear.
If you've got plastic window handles, first check your nipples!

This is a great idea and I would love to know what OEM parts are available for my '78 FJ40. For critical parts that keep the rig moving, I prefer OEM over aftermarket.
As a Rookie MUD user, it would seem to me that Toyota should have a database of what parts they have for sell, and would be motivated to let guys like us know about these parts. It's part of product support.
Try here... Toyota parts catalog - https://toyota-general.epc-data.com/

I actually just ordered over $2k in weatherstripping, hinges, catches, outer door handles and so forth from Toyota for a 67 45LPB.

I am sure some of the weatherstripping may need to be trimmed here or there or a hole drilled in it. The EPC I used was 1969.

I was pretty surprised at some parts being available though like the early outer door handles. I will post pics when it all shows up.

Cheers

No surprise here, we still stock and sell a great deal of the early stuff, availability locally and overseas is good. OEM Bugcatcher window w/s is NLA, OEM Windsheild W/S is NLA, "tall" vent door w/s is NLA but the other can be trimmed at the top to fit, etc.

I have a theory about early parts escaping the NLA logic at the manufacturing and distribution level. It definitely holds true for lights and trim on early 40's.
