This is your chance to install underdrive gears in the TC. It's just like regearing the axles except the ratios change in the TC. Contact Cruiser outfitters for more information.

I debated between TC gears and axle regear. At the time the axle regear was the same price as underdrive gears. I'm glad I went with the axle regear because I had to replace my front axle seals and my driver's rear axle bearing had no grease in it at all.

Got distracted for a couple days by another shiny object...one of my pitfalls!

Weather finally cooperated today (9 days for rain) to paint the oil pan. While waiting for it to dry I got the lifters, pushrods, rockers, oil tub, fuel pump and then side cover installed and torqued down. Also got the thermostat and housing installed.

After a couple hours sitting in front of the heater, the oil pan was dry so got that installed and torqued.

Tomorrow I hope to get the oil fill tube installed, then cam plug. Maybe even the bellhousing/motor mounts and stabbthis in b/w the frame rails!

Bucky driver side floor and rocker done. It has taken me three months! Today he left his spot in the shop for a quick wash down and then backed in to start work on the passenger side.

Love that 55. So nice...that color combo is awesome!

I hate you all. I made it to Harbor Freight for a few cheap supplies, backed the truck into the garage, got the front end on jack stands, then got about 20 phone calls and texts. Then it was time to get dinner. Then more phone calls. Then nap time. Pondering going out there now at 1:15am and working on it.

Serious wrenching.

I know you guys need a good laugh to start the week.

For almost 2 years, since owning the white 100, I thought the floor heat did not work. After reading a thread in the 100 section about the carpet being pulled over the ducts, I had to check. I checked this am and discovered the carpet was pulled over the ducts on both sides. Tucked it in properly this am and now have warm toes again. Always check the simple stuff first.

Let the hazing begin.

Is it really wrenching if you don't use any tools other than your eyeballs and hands?

So heavy wrenching with a paint pen, paint those raised letters yellow on your 80 washer fluid bottle, really dresses up that engine bay. Hi falutin'

Go fast parts for moonshine after work today. Nothing like some quality garage therapy to lift one's spirits.

Eagle eye who spots the two changes wins a prize.
