It appeared as though GST might have had some driver's side visors, but that turned out not to be the case.

GST will always have less parts availability the main TMS depots, especially NAPCC which, as you know, is the main import warehouse for the Western Hemisphere.

GST also has less accessibility to parts due to distributorship agreements with TMS. They can’t “see” certain parts that are available at NAPCC that TMS dealerships can see in the Parts Master File.

This is the same for SET as well.

My recommendation is to buy parts within the TMS system vs. the distributorship system and to find a parts professional who can navigate understanding TMSs arcane procurement system— especially when dealing with keiretsu company parts.

Is the cruise control cable NLA? I can't seem to find the part number.

recently received a stocking order of interior door handles that were the "wrong color". called Toyota and they said that is the new part number.

FOR INSTANCE, PN 69205-60040-B0 is now superseded by 69205-60040-B1. Attached below are some comparison pics, definitely not a good match for the grey interior of an 80 Series. Pic is not great, basically only good for showing the vast difference in color. The darker one is indeed the correct color for grey door handles. The lighter one is more like a cream color you'd see in a Camry or something.

Looks like they couldn't decide to make Oak parts or Grey parts, so they just blended them together and called it good.
Sounds about right.

Here are a couple pics next to mix of early/late brown interior and late grey interior (kind of deceiving that when next to brown they look grey and when next to grey they look a little more brown):

I found 3 of these NOS gold kits during Covid. Fresh out of 1996. I hope more NLA stuff starts to pop up, Seem like I always see 40 series and 60 series NOS parts sellers.

I'm comforted to see that it looks just as bad now as it did when I sold my first one back then.

How much was the gold package? IIRC, the wood grain package was $700 (?) back in '97!
Well that was 25 years ago. At one time I kept old price books but those got tossed out along with me when my cleats went in the trophy case.

I think it was around 300 bucks in the box.

Thanks. So how does a mere mortal go about obtaining one of these elusive windshields? Is there a secret code word i have to say to the parts guy?
I had the order placed a month ago at my local, official Toyota dealer. I was told at the time that it's available. It was paid for. This morning i got an email saying that it has been discontinued. Not sure what else i can do...

Show them the documentation I just posted.

If the windshield was discontinued, the “Status Code” line would indicate “D” for discontinued.

The line is blank meaning it’s still a live part. The depot details also indicate availability.

Just tried purchasing this from LexusPartsNow.com and no dice. Discontinued.

Any other numbers out there for this for front locker harness?

This is incorrect information.

56111-60190 is still available in the US. 3 currently available at depots. Class Code C4 meaning it is at mid-life cycle of the part number.

It is NOT discontinued. I repeat. IT IS NOT DISCONTINUED.

My depot even has one in stock.

I absolutely relish how the inaccurate Omnipotent masses assert absolute truth.

Onur, are the gears on the crank included? Timing, crank position, oil drive and oil pump gear to the power steering gear?
No.

Toyota classifies parts by movement, A through F (skipping E). A is most popular and F is discontinued or a brand new part with no history.

C is slow-moving. It could still discontinue before dropping to F.

In this case the part is still live because the "Status Code" shown in the lower right is "blank" When you see a "D" there, it's done.

If you look at the upper screen shot you will see at the bottom "Totals" line that there are 2 in depot stock, 2 in transit to depots and 3 on dealer back-order. There are more depots than show on that part of the screen.

Yes, the dealer interface. Dealer Daily.

Looked at, in my case. Past tense.
