I really knew I should wait but I really wanted that off the list.
New direction, after I put the door back on my running pig (funny the day I pulled them off it rained that night) I will lift off the body and weld out the body mounts and maybe look at rebuilding the front axle. I figure that since I don’t have any money for an engine- pandemic- I would spend much less and still be able to cross something off the list.

Used the great beta/parts from Jmack, WarDamnEagle, and everyone. Figured I would post the McMaster Carr numbers for future reference.

5448T2 Metric 932 Bronze Flanged Sleeve Bearing, for 8MM Shaft Diameter, 11MM OD, 10MM Length 16 Each

91595A588 Metric Alloy Steel Dowel Pin, M8 Diameter, 70 mm Length, Packs of 5 2 Packs

2754A83 Clog-Resistant Uncoated High-Speed-Steel Jobbers Drill Bit, 11MM, 142MM Oal, 72MM Drill Depth

Got’em all done. Would have been cool to have a pro over my shoulder but they don’t seem to have any slop.

Now to weld in the door strikers.

Someone (or some thing) scratched "Green" into the tailgate?

Is that a sign?

I am beginning to wonder if I should wait until I have the front fenders on befor I try to hang the doors.

Might be a good idea!

I have heard more than one Pig farmer complain about getting the "dog house" to line up once it has been taken off...

Got some little stuff done. Finished welding out the mounts.

Made a cardboard gas tank and found out it would not fit with the rear sill/ rear cross mount space so I notched there sill. LOTS OF GRINDING. I wish I could lay down dimes so I didnt have to grind at all. I would clear coat everything so all could see!

Gonna move forward and plate around the steering box. Seems like the best time to get it done. Had planned on using Rampt’s kit but the shipping cost as much as the kit. :(
Got some tools so I guess I’ll try to emulate it. Welding practice! Won’t be as sexy like Brisvegan’s but maybe he’ll share how he liked his kit.

1/4” plate?

Happy with the kit.. lots of plating and braces made out of 6mm thick steel. Others seem to just plate the inside and out of the chassis rail only..

I guess it’s the front axle now. I am trying to keep the running piggy going. So there is nothing going to be poached. Can’t move use parts tontransfer as I will with the rear .
