Yeah, that was a little 90 we got Lando for Christmas one year. Sold it probably not long after that pic.
Used to have a 1980 YZ125. Same super long mono, used to catch some crazy air! Ex-motocross bike.

I used hit a lot tree's . Bike was built for Straight out Desert, trail riding had to whack throttle to steer around corners. Bike was fast

You set the axle mount for straight up (0 degrees) at full droop? Does that change a little when stuffed?

It does but it’s negligible. Would have been better to weld the mount on with the normal load and spring position but that wasn’t going to happen in my case.

I had to do the same when I had the OME shocks to get the angle and length correct.

When I switched to Kings I had to change the tops to keep from binding on the body.

These appear to be further aft than many I’ve seen. Are your lower shock mounts behind the axle centerline?

It looks like I’ll need to mount mine aft, so I’m looking for reasons to or not to.

Yes, lower shock is mounted on the u bolt plate, behind the axle.
