Now getting body mounts (that's the 'fitment' 1fz) and the real, coil-packed, turbo 1fz-fe, that now has the Spool rods and pistons inside.

Another scanning party on Friday, this time for the bumpers/sliders and inside of the 55.

Got the kid's 80 series back. Swapped the supercharger out for the same turbo setup, better wheels, better brakes, fixed even more stuff that LCH did poorly or worse. View attachment 3851677

Next step is some Bump It Offroad armor.
Fantastic to see the body on the frame!!!

I stood next to it last night. I’m not going to post the photo I had my son take, but it’s huge.

I’m 6’3” and you can see the center of the mirror on the door over my shoulder. The top of the tire comes to mid-hip. It’s going to be interesting to get in and out of it.

Pua’a is SOA on flat springs / 35x12.50R15s and it’s not nearly this big.

As above, it should settle some with additional weight. Radiator, coolant, battery, bumpers/sliders, seats, interior (going the full overlanding mode, as the second scheduled trip is Rubithon).

Pua’a’s got the pox!

Fiducials for the laser scanning today, so we can CAD one-off bumpers

Wow, I’m learning now!

this is an awesome build.. any plans for additional oil capacity/cooler for the Blackbox? lots of reports of issues with that

Thanks! Yes the black box will have a cooler and pump to circulate the fluid once it reaches a certain temperature. This will be mounted under body on the crossmember/subframe. Plenty of room on the driver side next to the BB or where the factory gas tank was. Trying to get all of that CAD’d up this weekend so we can final weld the frame and get onto paint next week.

I have a BB on mine and had contimplated an extra oil reservoir, but I understood the overheating was an issue on the earlier boxes, not the later ones. Still, the units are relatively small and don't have much space for fluids or much of a surface for cooling for that matter - can't hurt to have that extra capacity.

Good thing Bell Intercoolers opens at 8 CT. Means I can call them tomorrow at 7 MST when C&C opens

Intercooler going to be extremely tight. Thanks @gonzopancho for the new hood latch Idea

The weird thing is, when I bought that truck, the PO had not connected the primary latch, so she was driving it around on the safety. You can see the latch striker laying on the seat in the second picture.

I replaced it to go to Jarbidge and SAS, (bought the cable and handle from SOR), but now we’re taking it off. Forever.
