The MOSLEY radiator is made by FSR products. It’s a vertical flow/gravity flow (whatever you want to call it) that mounts in the factory bolt holes. The only “issue” is running the top radiator hose.
Cross-flow radiators (while probably being readily available) will require mounts to be fabricated, but are easier to plumb hoses to. Six of one - half-dozen of the other.
Somewhere (Scrappy?) I got the
Griffin PN# 8-00009-LS
Custom built to order, nope, even if it is one to two weeks. Cam is a friend and makes great products but my builds have oem units or replica oe units that are readily available installed. This pig will be seeing severe duty and extra heat from the turbo, driving up high mountain passes, Moab, remote parts of Colorado/Utah, possibly further places like the rubicon where you want a rig on 37’s but trailering may not be an option. The radiator needs to have similar surface area and capacity to that of an FZJ80 for those long I70 grades. Hanging it can be custom but the physical unit has to be something one can get in a pinch for an overnight ship to where a buddy can get off the trail, go pick it up just to get home scenario.

I’ve used one Griffin radiator and never again. It was for a 60 and the fit/finish was terrible and started leaking within a few thousand miles.

I have an idea, just waiting till the sixth to call a guy in Stockton to confirm dimensions for me that I can see is available via their dealer portal. 🧐 If it works it will be the bees knees as far as surface area and capacity. We shall see…

A few pics of the frame and test fit engine/trans.

1fz-fe block and head are back from the machine shop. Bored 0.5mm over, that’s 0.020” to most of us. Crank and cam journals polished.

The machine shop found glass beads inside the engine. 🙁😡

Block has been powder coated at some point.

Yes, that’s a supercharger in the pile of parts.

How long before Jim makes that underside so you can eat off of it? Which is his definition of necessary cleanup. Can’t really poke fun ‘cause that’s probably what I would do.

As I told Johnny today, I have other trucks that are super clean (examples include that Blue and White one, Batpig and Kalua), this one needs to be ready by Cruise Moab

Chances of dents accruing on this one are high so really just clean up and functional on this one 🤣

Rust cut out of rockers, new bracing welded in.

Motor mounts, body mounts along, black box, crossmember fab, and exhaust planning starting next week. I think we can squeeze a 3” inside the frame rail, going to be fully tig welded .065 stainless. Major pieces falling into place!

Okay, that took me a second.
After looking at pics of the bottom end, I thought you were talking about the rocker assemblies in the head.
I think we are switching to body work now, eh?
