Had a good day on the lift.

First off......Happy Mother’s Day. The weather was superb.

I built out the brake lines on the front and rear axle and tied the rear

I’m not going to trim out the rear ubolts until I know if I am happy with the number of leafs I removed.

I used an OEM set of lines for the rear axle. Tomorrow I’m going to add the brake calipers and fill the axle.

I offered @cruiseroutfit an extra $10 if they would send me a drag link without the sticker and tape from hell on it. I had to get the longer drag link they sell.

Rear shocks are in. I did have to use the other bushings. I pressed the old ones out on my vice as I don’t have a press yet

This Milwaukee LED is legit for under the truck

I added a Wilwood proportion valve for the rear brakes just in case. These things are light in the ass.

Rear line is in.

You have done really well to keep the original charm on this build. I have seen so many nice old cruisers ruined here in Aus and I was concerned this was heading the same way at first. Put me down as one who likes it!
Plenty of practical planning there to make it user friendly too.

I messed with my own cruiser today but I did get a really cool part in for the 45.

Mating the 70 series cable to the OE dash mounted ebrake handle is a no go.

Many people add the 60 series pull handle between the tool box and the door.

It will fit, but it would require me to cut a 5x6” hole in this perfect 45 tub.

Not happening

Back in October when we did the Southern Swine Soirée, @Voodoocruisers showed us a beautiful FJ40 project at Level 7 Motorsports

They made a set of El Dorado rear calipers actually work as an ebrake. I don’t know of any other set of El Dorado calipers that have ever actually worked.

This was the secret.

By putting an S Curve into this ebrake cable we will be able to mount the www.eatopp.com on the drivers side frame to get a full pull and also stay out of the way of the 1FZ passenger side exhaust.

I’ll just need to fab up something to terminate the end of the 70 series cable into to pull against.

I think you might of forgot a axle shim on the passenger side.

I did and realized it after I did it. Was a long day. I have to take it down for the bushings that I did not have last weekend. It’s on the list.

Not trying to nitpick... just trying to be helpful.

Why couldn’t you make the dash pull work, made the SF 70 series axle with integrated ebrake work with a 55 dash pull. Just had push-n-pull mate the two cables, the throw longer on these?

Tucker

I tried it on another truck with no luck. Maybe I could have. This setup is slick as hell.

The estopp is just a linear actuator in a fancy package.
