It’s getting late and I’m tired. Misread that as “nut on a welder...” 👀 It seemed oddly specific and odd in general but people have different hobbies so I was ok with it. But then I reread it and felt better about it saying “weld on a nut”... Goodnight

If it messes the cover up just weld it back up and put a new full plug.

Propane should loosen up the sealant.

Harvest day here at Belleair Bees apiary. Only got 80 pounds this year. Funny how losing 3 of 5 hives over winter effects your honey crop. :frown:. Back up to 5 hives after splitting the 2 hives that made it and adding a package of bees to the apiary. Usually you don't get much honey if you split a hive so I'm happy I got what I got.

You selling any?

You selling any?

Not sure yet but will let you know if we do. This is about half the yield we had last year so we have some figuring to do.

Ok folks so the ac is jacked and steering rack on the way out if not out. These two things are more and more detrimental to me enjoying driving the truck, so my question for the group is would it be overly ambitious of me to think I can do the steering rack in a weekend or two? Ac I think I’ll pay someone to troubleshoot since I’ve never done it before and wouldn’t know where to start....

I never did the steering rack when I had my 100 but looked into it since I figured I’d have to do it one day. Seemed like a not fun but doable weekend job.
If you think you have a leak, I’d just bring it in to a shop. I think I paid $170 to have my cars AC recharged and they found/fixed a leak. Worked great until the 90+ degree days hit us a year later.....

Well we are in teh 100 degree days...so....maybe I can save the $170...?

i had considered just buying one of the AC recharge cans at the store last time around but I’ve had limited success with them. Of course for it to need another AC service a year later... who knows!

Tried the cheap recharge can, it got cool but not freezing and warmed up a few min later...

The 100's are bad for rotting out the rear lines right where they turn to the rear below the firewall.
Oh I miss the AC in my now in Colorado 100 series. It would freeze your nipples off. My DD is the one due for another AC service.

I’ll probably suck it up for the rest of summer with the 60. I think I have all the lines to hook up the compressor that’s just acting like a belt pulley under the hood! You’ll probably hear from me in the spring to get it installed and operating

Just picked up this little guy at Home Depot. I need to tack the window regulator back together in the DD. They have 3 little welds from the factory they eventually fail and mine failed.
New window regulator ($800) or spend $300 on my first little welder, a shield and some wire and learn something new. It had good reviews and will probably come in handy down the road.

I’m guessing that a couple little tack welds won’t require much experience???? I’ve never welded in my life but I have a book and google!

Did some more work on my rust bucket Nissan pickup. With some fancy new tools I was able to remove the diff fill plug as well as remove the evap vent control valve and find the leak causing my P0455. I can't believe I lived without the induction bolt buster for so long, that thing is amazing. This smoker is also pretty sweet and way less than most others on the market (but waaay more than @emorth's creation). It came with the oil, tubing, schrader pin remover tool and the evap port adapter. And as you can see it has the regulator to keep the smoke pressure at 1 PSI.

I had a feeling if someone planted the idea in your head you would research and come up with a good one:)

Adding to wish list now...

I wonder if it will help with removing frame rivets??
