what do you recommend for a heavy duty power steering oil cooler, that is very efficient. i have been on google, there are a lot of them out there. i plan to put it on the front grill of my 40 series. space is about 5 x 16 x 1.5 inches (i can go thicker). what do you recommend. my fluid gets very hot cause of the size of my tires and weight of the cruiser. :bang:

thanks

Try a small automatic transmission cooler either from a wreckers, or a parts store generally sells generic ones that can be adapted:)

How about something like these from Summit Racing?

I use a generic cooler from Napa - don't be tempted to use zip ties through the radiator though.

a bigger cooler?

thanks, i looked at the thread very helpful. on the cooler i wander if there is a downside to going to a bigger cooler than what orange 45 suggested like a Earl's Performance 41910ERL - Earl's Performance Temp-A-Cure Fluid Coolers - Overview - SummitRacing.com will it give me extra cooling?

i like to over build a bit as long as it has no down side.

thanks

Check out the post below. Orangefj45 recommended a plate type cooler over the tube & fin. I'm relocating my power steering pump now and plan to install some type of cooler, though I'm running stock tires -- figure it doesn't hurt to keep the oil cooler.

I run Setrab oil & power steering coolers on my rigs. Plenty of sizes available & compact. Got mine from www.bakerprecisionbearings.com .Here's where I mounted mine on the :pig:

Dude--That's brilliant. I gotta go see if I threw out my old radiator.

Here is mine, I had an old FZJ80 radiator and thought the trans cooler would be useful.
