I need some advice from the modded FJ40 wizards. My truck is a 1980 FJ40 and it has modified to add power steering from the PO. It is what appears to be an FJ60 power steering box, together with a Saginaw power steering pump. The good news: it works great. But it needs maintenance and I am sort of lost, my goals:

1. New TRE - The tie rod ends are all worn out. Unfortunately buying a 555 kit for the FJ40, isn't going to work since this is clearly a mix of FJ40 and FJ60 TRE. I don't know what to order!
2. Replace relay rod - the current relay rod was booger-welded by the PO to the TRE which connects to the pitman arm. The problem is it cannot be turned to adjust the steering and get a proper alignment. It's "close enough". Would like to put in a actual threaded (on both sides) rod and get this adjustability back. I might even need to order a custom built rod (due to custom length), or maybe another model works? I don't know what do here either.

I will attach pictures so you see the mess I am dealing with. Any and all advice appreciated. Thank you.

Pictures attached. Can get measurements if needed.

First, take that fox shock ( steering stabilizer) off and the bracket that was supposed to hold the steering stabilizer is a joke, its a bend tab at best.
They took the center pivot out and cut & welded the two relay rods together to make a drag link. You need a drag link and a DLE sized to fit the pitman arm, then you'll have the adjustability your after. For cost & availability I'd contact Kurt ( Cruiser Outfitters ) or check the site at Cruiser Teq. Point tires straight, center wheel and measure from center of pitman hole to center of hole in tie rod. You need a TRE that will fit the 40 tie rod and the drag link end needs to fit the 60 pitman, I bet they know exactly what your after. IIRC you may use a 40 drag link end and there is a bushing that reduces the tapered hole in pitman to allow proper tightening.
