I'm interested in how quickly it builds boost. In my e300 i picked up for a later swap, it doesn't really get firmly on boost until it's north of 2500 rpm.

I have to admit it's a little laggy around 3k
I'll probably be looking at a different turbo in the near future

A couple of questions. Are you planning on selling adapters for that engine? How difficult is it find an OM648 oil pan? Did you have to also use the oil pickup from an OM648?

I'm really impressed with the video and overall clean install you guys did. :)

I would for sure be interested y'all do end up selling these adapters.

The oil pans and pump can still be bought new from a dealership.... but I would recommend shopping around online for a better deal.

great build, very clean. Was a little curious about the butterfly valve on post 101, assuming that is for the exhaust side with a main purpose of creating some more engine braking? any feedback on how it works? also in the same post it looked like you added a muffler into the 3?" exhaust, any comment or chance you planned to add a new new video of it running? (I was curious how loud it was).

Thank you.. The diaphragm on exhaust was meant for the exhaust brake but a diaphragm is not strong enough to hold exhaust pressure so I have very little effect and need to upgrade..
I will have a walk around video of the truck coming soon

Haven't had a chance to burn full gas tank been doing a lot of City driving and been gassing up in between we did do a trip to get a Christmas tree I averaged 25 MPG

heya- any updates? I was reading the sheet from Dieselmeken and it looks like the low setting flows 110cc and the max ( or Madmax ) setting :) is 180cc..........any idea what cc you are running ??? Or were running when you got the 25ish mpg?

and hows egt’s at your setting?

Mind sharing some thoughts/experience running the 35's? I'm on a Tough Dog heavy setup with a 1" body lift and I'd like to see if I can put them under my truck without too much rubbing. Spent last weekend at Moab and there are many more trips in my future... needs more tire. I'm getting pretty good flex and clearance right now with 33x10.5's and a 2.5BS wheel. FZJ80 axle swap coming soon so I'm buying 17's and can play with tire diameter and wheel BS selection to optimize things...

Then again, maybe I'll just go nuts and go 37's with SUA. I was looking at the fenders today and have an idea how to cut/section them to make it fit and look stock-ish. Stupid builder-brain never shuts off... :hmm: :bang:  :D

Personally, I wouldn't think the effort was worth
it unless you installed an OM 648. If you want torque, you want that motor. 648 would eat the tires up on an E Class. 617, 601,2 and 3, well, not so much. 606? yawn. I'm an MB tech since the 1978 300 SD came out
