Quick preface, im deployed down in Bogota, Colombia for a 3-5 year tour. One of my goals was to find a solid FJ to buy, restore and bring back home as my car.
Finally, after 2 years of a lot of searching, negotiating, deals falling through and finding some real terrible cars I was able to find one that fit my budget, was in the best shape and not insanely priced. All Toyotas down here are now very expensive. When I was down here 6 years ago they were half the price. I bought this one for just under $10k, by the way. And for the state this car was in and checking my boxes: late model, ambo doors, stock 5-speed and minimal rust and issues. The only thing that would've made this deal better would be if it was a 3FE and not just a stock 3F. Anyway, im attaching pictures for the Collective to pick apart.

Interesting to hear that Toyota's have jumped in value there. Is it propane powered? What's with the baggie in the engine compartment?
This 60 looks pretty clean. Where's the rust? On the negative side aesthetically, I don't care for the red lettering or the wheels.

I am also not a fan of the red or the wheels. They are 22's, I believe, and I sincerely don't want or need them that big. Ill sell them here and replace with 18-19 wheels. The rear windows are also bulletproof. I intend to sell those off as well and replace them with a better quality glass down here. The gas conversion is something common down here but it runs on both so ill eliminate that propane tank and get it back to stock. The rust is on a small part of the driver side, rear, door. And on the inside location of where the battery sits. But this will be some of the first bits ill address.
