This is great thread and very motivating. Good job!

What did you use to paint the knuckle housing and steering arms? They look nice.

ome springs

new springs and bushings

also adding a 4* shim for my 1.5" shakles

edit: long shakles are no good w/ new springs (Bouncey)

planning on anti inversion shakles to allow for full susp flex w/o possibility of breaking a spring

Nothing less than inspiring. When it warms up a little up here I am starting a full teardown of a 72 currently with no motor, but you make me want to start it right now.

By the way, love the dog, I pick up my bulldog on Tuesday. Hopefully she will help as much as yours helps you!

HEY!!

This is a GREAT job you are doing! Very inspiring indeed. I do have another question about the paint you are using. Are you using and thinner/reducer to spray it or are you spraying it 100% paint? I ask because our church has purchased a school bus and we need to paint it....If this paint will work for your cruiser, why not a 56 passenger bus?!?! hehe. I have painted a few times, but I always used the automotive basecoat/clearcoat system....its expensive. Thanks for all the great pics.

nice job, i like this build up alot. the header looks real nice as well. Glad to see someone else suffering doing most of there work on there own lol. just make sure you check on those wheel spacers alot, they have been known to work loose on DD's, just looking out for your safety

loctite red on all the spacers.

I really like the looks of the vintage vector wheels. My set doesn't have the correct b/s so the adapters are needed. I plan on getting "correct wheels" in the future. (widened stockers) Lets hope my wheel doesn't fall off 1st
