You’re going to need to check the condition of the head surface and the block deck. After that is inspected and repaired if necessary, you can worry about what head gasket to use.yea....creep is always an issue. I'll be on the lookout for it.
besides this potential HG issue, everything else is ok-ish at the moment, so creep should be minimal.
where are we getting 1977 2F headgaskets now?
should I be good to go with a slight shave/leveling of the head and still use a 'stock' headgasket?
Hell yeah man cant wait! and honestly I feel like head gasket repair is a right of passage for a land cruiser guy. A hoist/cherry picker helps for popping the head off btw. Saw you got that Dj5 mail jeep going too!gonna get'er fixed up and back on the road to the coast!
Cruiser Outfitters usually has the real OEM Toyota headgaskets and knows how to ship them.
I'm just an Idiot that hits $hit with hammers........The driver side/dry head bolts were super hard to get out and had lots of rusty buildup on them.
Also, what is the thread size of the intake/exhaust manifold bolts? Some of mine were cross threaded and I'll need new ones
