Damn I wish I didn't see this. LOL. I was already planning on having my friends company make molds for new front fenders with a larger wheel opening that still looks stock. But this concept drawing looks really good. Making the rear doors like that would be a big job though. It's probably a better idea to stick with just the front fenders and getting mine together and running...

I like the rear quarters! But now that I look at the design again you would have to modify the rear doors. I don't how you would move the wheel arch out w/o major surgery...

On Instagram he told me that he intended for the rear doors to be closed permanently since it’s a race truck concept. That would make the build much easier for the rear section.

Jim Mack - you thinking about making a real one? Would be a fun thread to follow ;)

Too bad this rendering didn't exist when I started my build or I may have gone a different route. Those flares & the stance make a world of difference to the old boxy lines. Would be cool to see this come to life if someone was inspired enough.

Can't get those flares off my mind. Wonder what would be less co$tly, r & d fiberglass molds or fab from steel? Any body guys on here care to guestimate per corner?

Not sure about a design like this specifically. For the front fenders I want to make for mine with the larger wheel opening my friend said it would be about $1500 to make the molds and about $400-450 per pair of fenders. If I get a group buy of at least 5 people he can drop the mold price to half or less. These would be for people running 35" or bigger tires. I have held off on doing this for awhile but now that my 55 is in the shop having the cage built and a few other things I might get started on it soon. I have to weld in the new panels I got from Bob on both fenders then they should be good for making the molds from.

Do you need larger wheel opening's for 35" tires?

I'm guessing Adam's rendering looks like 39" Baja T/A's on there.

I can already see how much fab work it'll take to get those rear flares/doors to work. I remember I was gonna cut mine out but put down the plasma & lived with it.

Do you need larger wheel opening's for 35" tires?

Probably not as you can see from J Mack's photo. But maybe if it's a linked suspension with coil-overs and more travel/articulation like mine will have. My goal was to run 37" tires but because of the rear wheel opening I decided to run 35's for now.

Some people have cut their fenders and I think it would look so much better with a fiberglass fender that has the original lip with a larger opening. I'm pretty sure Ryan's in this photo is with 37's with cut fenders. And as you can see the rear is a problem with 37"+ tires but his 55 has almost no rear up travel so it probably doesn't hit. Mine will have more travel so that's another reason I'm going with 35's.
