Haven’t seen any in person yet. Maybe the flying deer only come out at night.

Morning started off well, intended on taking Clyde to couple towns running errands. Goal was to log at least 100-150 miles.

Felt safe with 30% chance of rain. Well 100% of rain happened on our first leg with likely severe stuff coming. Lightening struck at most 1/4 from us driving back home on small country road. Now small hail falling, sheesh

Had great time and once this stops I’m heading south!

Same here on the east coast…rained so hard I had to wait in the pole barn or get drenched within 140’ walk

I love driving after a rainstorm when the air is crisp and cool and the clouds are low. Looks like you had those conditions on your drive.
A rarity this time of year in Oklahoma. Especially in afternoon.

9:20 am flight from Paris to Atlanta was canceled yesterday. Of course we didn’t know that until I had already downed 3 espressos at 5 am. Delta rebooked us on a 12:30 flight to Cincinnati with a connection to Atlanta. Would have been nice to have checked my texts before having all that coffee. Son picked us up around 7:30 pm and we went through several thunderstorms on the 100 mile drive home. I haven’t seen that much lightning in years. Cloud to cloud and strikes to the ground. Lightning is truly one of the more impressive natural phenomena.

Another small chance of rain today when checking weather last night. Daughters new rescue lab sleeps in crate at night outside RV in shop. I have been up since 4 am when Marley started barking due to thunderstorms again. She is not a fan of thunderstorms. Of course, I am awake and she is asleep at my feet on her bed. Told Kim, it’s ironic the dog we got to help Kelseys epilepsy induce anxiety has anxiety of it’s own. Great dog though.

You know when I saw that photo of the 3 of you guys and the 3 pooches, I ran to Labrador rescues around here and on-line. Nothing found. I need an yellow lab for Ruby, our golden.. When her friend passed months ago, she has been seriously depressed…. I have never seen it in dogs with my limited perceptions but she was brought here when Bella was 7 and it was her mate for 4 1/2 years now being alone she does not know what to do with herself

We were close to adopting 2 other dogs but both very high energy escape artists…. Ruby is happy go lucky… doesn’t challenge a fence line, in fact does not even bark…ever! Between seeing that picture of your family, all six of you, and my long time friend Mike having had 3 yellow labs himself. I think that’s a great match. Inspirational, like a Norman Rockwell painting … enlarge it and hang it on the wall

Just adopted another lab from rescue, Caroline joined our family short while ago. When Kelsey goes back to school with Marley who we adopted maybe 4 weeks ago we wanted Maggie (on left) to have a partner.

Caroline in the middle is 3 years old, I do believe has some Pyranees in her in addition to her Labrador. Sweet as they come, super laid back.

What a great picture!!!
I am surrounded by dogs this morning, some good company.

@knuckle47, Kim and I have had labs over the last 29 years. One s***zu during that time. I couldn’t imagine a better dog for us.

The new one, formerly Caroline (didn’t know her name) is now Abby. It’s obvious she hasn’t been allowed to play much probably no fault of her previous owner who passed. Watching her come out of her shell is so fun. I now think she has quite of bit of pyranees in her. She has no idea she should be a 100 pound dog at least.

Her love bites could engulf a basketball. I’m only one she can rough house with as the wife and daughter would be on the ground. I’ve got my work cut out for me but should be fun!

Small downside, Kelsey’s Marley found fresh cow crap in pasture when I was dog sitting the three of them last week.

I’ve never seen one of our dogs effectively cover themselves in so much crap.

I bet you get the most terrifying storms.
I remember the summer I spent in Iowa, one night my buddy woke me up and said we should head for the basement. The sky was turning green, the lawn furniture was all airborne. It rained so much, and the wind was blowing sideways that the storm drowned a ton of birds. I have never seen anything like that. The next day people were walking around and filling 5-gallon buckets w/ dead birds. It was pretty sad stuff.
