I didn’t post on here but we lost the MIL a few weeks ago, had been a long decline so no surprise but it still comes quick at the end, I’m not sure anyone could get used to that.

Congrats on the new house and 4 stall garage 👍🏻
I am sorry to hear about your MIL.
I hope you all are doing alright.
Thank you for the congrats.

@PabloCruise sorry about your friend, hate to deal with things like that but it’s inevitable.

Congrats on house, sounds like great change for you and the wife!

Road tripped to Florida this weekend after daughter flew into Tulsa. Outside of all the cool stuff we have seen road tripping we ran across small area on small highway in the Mississippi’ delta where tornado had just been a few hours before us. 3 houses destroyed, power lines snapped and lines in the road. Sadly no emergency vehicles around. Folks sitting around what once was their homes. Debris field extended for hundreds of yards in what I’m guessing was cotton fields.

The car sure was quiet for awhile after that.

Arrived in Florida and took a few pics of kids in same spot where we were at around 13 years ago.

I absolutely love more than anything spending time like This with my kids!

Wow, that is a wild comparison!
So cool that you get that chance to take that trip Jon!
I am super glad for you with the family time.

I think I shared w/ y'all that we have an exchange student from Norway here with us for the school year.

His parents just flew in for the boys' Spring Break. They are great folks. It should be a fun week.

The Dad kind of looks like that!

They are definitely good folks. They raised a fine son.
I've been to Norway on business many times. Never met a Norwegian I couldn't get along with.

This guy gets it.
While yall are spending tens or hundreds of thousands if dollars, arguing over dobinsons vs OME, vs Skyjacker, spending months or years waiting for some restoration shop to finish your ride, old boy's like "Hammer down baby"
Maybe yall don't need all that expensive crap, maybe you just need to not drive like a 🐈
Ymmv.

Getting the Sprinter van ready for this year’s trips. Wife doesn’t really have anywhere she wants to go, but will go along with whatever I decide. We managed to do her bucket list trips last year. Total of 8500 miles in 5 trips.
I built a ladder to access the roof rack. Was a good excuse to buy a pneumatic nutcert gun.😊 Also reworked the Chinese diesel heater more to my preference. Fuel supply is directly from van tank now, and controls easily reached from bed.
Really hoping to get back on the pig this year.

Our last trip in the fall was to International Falls MN. to se the northern lights. Stopped in Duluth to see her daughter. Lake Superior was impressive.
Sleeping in a queen size bed with a shower, toilet, freezer/fridge, and stove with oven is nice. The tv/dvd player is another bonus. Well worth the money to build it compared to staying in motels. We have the same handicap room every night!

Decades back there was a frequent toss up between International falls, MN and Gunnison, CO for the coldest spot in the US. That looks like a gorgeous spot

I got invited to a little pig party Friday. Saturday our neighbor mitch slaughtered a hog and asked my landmate and I to come help with the processing. Naturally, there's only one vehicle that's suitable for this type of thing, the Iron pig.
So we loaded up and spent the morning cutting and grinding and about noon we mixed up some sausage and taste tested patties to get the seasoning right and we bagged up more than 40 pounds of sausage. Plus pork chops, roasts, hocks, and the dog food parts.....
This was the first time I've ever broken down a full hog (one that didn't say Toyota on the grill) and Mitch has another fatter one to do in a couple weeks.
Good times!
