80 and windy with gusts up to 45 in Oklahoma today.

Spent morning pulling fertilizer buggy for couple hours after pasture burning last month. Planted some food plots for wildlife even though I don’t hunt as much anymore. Wife planted few bags of wildflowers to help the bee’s. Sure is fun to disc the land, drag brillion then scatter seed, brillion, fertilize and wait for rain in a few days.

Wind favorable yesterday to spray so left work little early, sprayer pump broke with 15 acres left, it’s also prime time to spray for sand burrs. Gonna get new pump Monday and watch the forecast.

You don't burn that every year do you or just starting over. I rent a no till seed drill from the county and put in Timothy and orchard grass.
Been trying to burn it for years. Millions of sand burrs. Now that I’m here full time I can finally do it. It had a ton of fuel and got me slow hot burn, destroyed a lot of weeds. Probably look at burning again year after next.

I’ve got minimal till drill, tried Bermuda seed few years ago and didn’t get hardly any take. Sprigged with Bermuda last year but sand burrs and other weeds didn’t do it much justice. I’m looking to plant some native grass seed for our region in couple weeks. One of these days…..

This will be first year I’ve been able to carry out the calculated plan to reclaim it from its old peanut patch days.

No shortage of the funny weed growers around here Bob!!! Oklahoma dropped the ball big time regulating it, last year we had more farms growing it than pot shops. to add to it, no limit on pot shops, got plenty of them everywhere.

Big time money oversee's came in paid big bucks for farms. Drove prices through the roof. Then each of them built horrendously ugly grow facilities. put gigantic strain on the electric grid due to the numbers of AC units they would require. Now several have gone broke, old grow houses which weren't much more then metal frames and plastic have fallen into disrepair. Several of the nice old farms are not much more than eye sores now.

Crappy situation.

Ya that Sucks!! Only legal for personal consumption here 1 ounce or less! Grown or smoked! Maine 😵‍💫 and Mass drove across Maine border a few weeks ago there was 7 Weed stores in 1/4 mile WTF. Lotta Chinese buying the land?? 🤔😉😵‍💫.
Definitely foreigners!! Chinese included. Local lumber company (small town) said they would all pay in cash.
