That will be cool to watch to see how much it fetches.

Taking the 40 to it’s forever home, kinda like an adopted pet.
Damn I’ll be glad when I don’t have to haul anymore crap from Steamboat to Oklahoma.

I did go have coffee with old patient of mine who says I’ve got first dibs on the old broncho. I trust he will follow through, great family.

Safe travels!!!

Still pig less in Oklahoma but once I get the sow back home from body shop I bet it’s going to be awesome.
Daughter has chosen to attend University of Hawaii in the spring so we’re here finding housing and getting things arranged.

Been interesting month with my most awesome daughter. While pulling a trailer home 3 weeks ago from Steamboat I was checking into hotel at 11:15 at night in Burlington, CO. Kelsey called me as she stayed in Steamboat by herself. While video chatting with her boyfriend who is in Italy at school for the fall she had a seizure. Through some impressive doings he contacted his mother in Maine who was able to get an ambulance to the house. Once she stopped seizing Kelsey was able to provide where we lived and she was also able to call me saying she was told she had a seizure although she doesn’t recall anything.
Folks at Fairfield in were great, let me drop the trailer and I drove all night back to Steamboat where some great local friends had Kelsey at home after they sat with her in the ER while she was worked up.

Since I was practicing doc there and around the area for last 10 years I had her evaluated by the local neurologist. We got tons of good news regarding her seizure like a normal MRI (no brain lesions) a follow up EEG did show she has “ Absence Epilepsy”. Not sure why she had a big seizure and probably never will know. She is now taking medicine and hopefully does ok.

Typically absence seizures result in someone losing focus or gazing off for 10-20seconds for no apparent reasons. Kelsey called us very upset while we were at our alma maters football game one evening last month after she had pulled into an intersection while driving. She didn’t know why she had done it but now we have an explanation.
Unfortunately for her she cannot drive for several months but I bet she will do fine. Her wonderful boyfriend is also going to attend Hawaii and we have family on the island so she has support when and if needed.

Now mom and dad have to shoulder her going to Hawaii with her new diagnosis and being so far away if anything happens but we’re not going to let it affect her dreams.

Having been through years of health issues with our own daughter, we can sympathize. Also sounds like we both have strong and resilient young women in our families. Best to all...

Wow, I don't even know what to say after reading that!
Really glad she was an a video call w/ the boyfriend - I bet he won't forget that anytime soon!
I can't imagine what that drive back to Steamboat would have been like for a Father.
Sounds like all is well, but wow - what a shift...
Take care of everyone there!

Happy Sunday y'all! Welcome back to Standard Time, now that most of us have turned off DST. Good luck setting all your (non-smart) clocks back an hour.

My boy turns 16 tomorrow - wow.

My Dad came into town yesterday, he is going to hang out with us today as we celebrate. Little sister and her husband are coming up from Denver later this morning.

The Boy wants to watch some RedZone football and eat wings - so that's the plan!

Dad has a few more miles on him - don't we all - but last night he said he is feeling them. He turned 81 back in June. I am grateful he can still travel and come out for visits like this. Mom is doing well, but she would not be able to hop a plane by herself and come out for a visit like this.

I hope y'all have a great Sunday.
