OSU - that is for the smart kids, right @gonzopancho ?
So, a prompt for my infamous Oklahoma joke.

First, my wife of 32 years (who support my pig habit), and both of her sisters attended and graduated from OSU. Our oldest niece will also be attending OSU in the fall.

Both of my in-laws attended OU.

With that said, the joke:

Q: Why do parents in Oklahoma send their kids to OU instead of OSU?

A: it’s easier to spell.

(Go ‘pokes!)

Finally made it home yesterday afternoon. Our flight on Wednesday was cancelled so we were "forced" to enjoy one more day in Barcelona. Great to be back in the US for good. Still hasn't completely sunk in that we were on one way tickets; or that every day is about to be a Saturday.

Adjusting to not living overseas and not working full time has been "interesting" to say the least over the last couple of years.

I've found I have very little in common with the people I associate with. I've finally learned to stop correcting people when they say dumb crap about the parts of the world I lived in.

My ego took awhile to adjust to not being the most interesting guy in the room during social events.

My wanderlust has kind of reversed. Outside of walking the dog, I now have a hard time finding a reason to leave the house. Wife and I are traveling to Iceland in the fall and I'm already gritting my teeth in anticipation of air travel. It's amazing how much I've developed a hatred of international travel over the decades, especially since its been the focus of my life.

Anyway; I hope you have a smooth transition to retarded life.... ;)

Yes, I hear you on the travel. I'm retiring with just over 2M Delta miles in the bank (just under 3M lifetime) and that's just with Delta. Probably have 500k or more with other airlines and wife has 500k+ with Delta. I suspect we will still want to travel. But for now, we are just going to chill for a while at home.

Life’s changes are happening here in the hammy home. Just got back to Colorado last night after hauling the tractor back home to Oklahoma. Here for one day than hauling enclosed trailer full of crap to the farm.

Wife says I’m an unemployed bum but I am starting part time gig doing non patient related stuff Monday in Tulsa. It’s been nice not to walk into the clinic and listen to all the griping.

Still nowhere close to being able to store belongings at the farm and tough to post house for sale in Steamboat when you can’t move crap. However it’s all going to workout.

Tomorrow early morning the dogs and I will leave again on life’s next adventure.

New skid steer being delivered Friday and I’m promptly gonna take it in the woods and start destroying stuff!!

Been raining and wow it’s green, while moving cars I just had to take pic of the old ford in front of old home we have (gonna destroy it for our new bourse but repurpose the exterior everywhere we can).
