1970 FJ40, v6 (1gr), supercharger, 5-speed

$270,000.00

This modified FJ40 was most recently used in an Omaze sweepstakes to raise money for charity. The winner of the Omaze sweepstakes chose to accept the cash alternative instead of the truck, and as such, it is now available for purchase via this BaT auction.

So she took the cash, $182,062.50, in November, and then the truck sold in June for $270,000

There is gold in your garage/shop/barn. Don’t tell the SO!

Nice to know people actually win on those Omaze things. Wasn't sure if it was BS.

Well if legit I love the cause!!

Look what showed up as scheduled!! Significant t storms in night threatened everything being delivered today but it all worked out.

I’m all bruised up from pinching myself to see if this is all real.

15 minutes with the brush cutter proves it’s amazing. Due to amount of rain we got last night I can’t really do much with the drum mulcher since I don’t want to bury this monster.

I pulled a skid steer just like that out of the mud with my Pig.

Head this way, several hidden springs in the woods. Hate to say not a matter of if but matter of when.

I’m staying within reach of where big tractor can pull me out if need be.

Heat wave hitting next week should help as I scout ahead of my work for obstacles

This it getting stuck. I didn't have anyone film me pull him out. But then I got the ram out after. My crew got themselves really stuck on a site and then went to get it out and got another ram stuck.

"You 55 people are a different breed." - comment heard at Proffitt's Resurrection Cruisers during last night's Bookcliff Cruisers meeting.

Impressive, most impressive!

It has been a fantastic week. I got to swim 5 lake swims this week (been a while since I have done that!), in 3 different lakes.

During the week we swam 3 days in a row (that always feels good), getting over 3300 yds per day.

Water temps ranged from 62 degrees on Tuesday (full sleeve wetsuit that morning) to 72 degrees today (no wetsuit needed). I went from full sleeves at the beginning of the week, to a tank-style/farmer john wetsuit to skins yesterday and today.

Yesterday I swam at a lake that has a small island in the middle of it. We swim around the island as our route. This time of year the great blue herons raise their chicks out there - it is so cool. So many herons flying back and forth - they are just majestic birds. They get nervous when we get too close to the island so they make this "clack, clack, clack" noise when we are out there. Sometimes there will be a bald eagle or 2 out there, probably up to no good.

Today my buddy George hosted a swim at a smaller lake in his neighborhood. His swims are legendary b/c just about all the openwater swimmers in N Colorado know George, and he usually hosts us at his house after the swim for pancakes and potluck breakfast. George attempted to solo the English Channel twice. If he succeeded, he would have been the oldest male to make the crossing. That was in his 70s. On his second attempt he swam for about 9.5 hours before they pulled him b/c they thought he was going hypothermic. Then when he turned 80 he tried to put together a relay team of all 80+ year olds to cross The Channel. Ultimately he had to accept some "younger folk" for his relay just so he could git 'r done. Now he is in his early 80s and he still swims the lakes and then makes us pancakes. Swimming and pancakes is a pretty awesome combo. I can think of a few others that might top that, but swimming and pancakes is pretty close to the top of the list. George is awesome. When I get old, I want to be like George! Hope y'all are having an awesome day!

Whole new meaning to wine in a box.

That’s a personal flotation device to drink it while floating in the swimming pond. I typically don’t allow glass but this time I’ll let it pass!!
