Got back from the Tin Bender Jambo late last night......or this morning. Had a blast and got to test out some new upgrades.

I love that shifter and I need one for my truck immediately.

NV4500?

so... what happened to the old tranny?...

We spent a bit of time on the sand dune @ the Tin Bender's Jambo and the 60 did awesome. The new mods made such a difference. (even though I didn't use the ARBs in the sand at all)

Man check the weight transfer. This thing launches like a drag car.

We cruised around a fair amount. A few pics from a rock section. The new gears were great and I'm so stoked to have traction at the flick of a switch again. It's been a couple of years since I've had ARBs in a rig. :bounce:

Anyway off to get everything ready to roll out tomorrow. I'll add some more updates when I get back and if anyone sees me or my pile in Moab, say hey.

What is the difference between the H55 and H55F? I didn't know there was a difference.

There is a diference .. ? in my books are the same .. or actually there is only H55F

That's what I thought but then Dan made the distinction between the two......

Alright. The Cruise Moab 2010 trip synopsis.

I was able to talk Weak-Link into coming along. After Marlin realized his tow rig had a leaking radiator 20 mins before we were supposed to leave, he got the tank replaced and we were on the road about 2.5hrs. later. We stayed in Mesquite, NV on Tuesday night. Got on the road about 9 am Wednesday and rolled into Area BFE about 4PM. It took about 15 hrs. travel time but we were finally there.
It was pretty windy with dust blowing around. We found a spot and got settled in.

The next morning we awoke to an odd site. Snow.

IMG_59060824.jpg

It didn't snow in town but we were just high enough to get a small dusting.

It warmed up and the snow was gone...........for a bit. About a mile from the Area BFE turn off is the trail head for Behind the Rocks. We were not signed up for a trail on Thursday so we decided to just head down there and check it out.

Then on to Up Chuck.

The carb was trying to kill it but it kept going.

Marlin wanted more pics of the new drivetrain. (more on that later)

Searched for a bit of Traction and it finally grabbed.

Good spot for a potty break and another pic.

We decided to head down Pritchett. Marlin called this Yellow Snot hill or something like that.

This was steep and a bit of a funny line for down hill. I had what I thought was a decent line but Marlin wanted to show me a trick he used to use when he would run Surprise Canyon.

Winch line goes under the front axle, under the rear axle, through a shackle attached to the receiver, and back to an anchor.

Let out line as you go down and it makes the rear end suck down into the rock. Worked pretty slick.

We got back a little late from Pritchett so we were about 5 mins. late setting up our booth for Vendors night.

Still had a great time. I got to meet/see some customers, made some new friends and hopefully made a few new customers too. I like this job. :grinpimp:

The next day we missed our scheduled run due to getting an awesome nights sleep. We decided to run Poison Spider Mesa.

My turn.

One of a few climbs on the trail.

We ran into the group that was running Poison Spider Mesa and they were kind enough to let us tag along.
