Very cool, I have the 3-link on my 4Runner that I also did in my driveway. I keep thinking about getting an FJ80 as my next project. But not until I have a garage.

Justin used a Ballistic tower. Says he found a sweet spot to mount it and didn't have to move anything. Says he could have fit 16"s if he wanted.

Didnt have to move a thing! I was thinking i was going to end up rearranging the entire engine bay. This truck was meant for 3 link and coilovers.

Thanks for the pics! What mount did you use for the coilover to the axle? Is that custom or off the shelf?
Also, any negative effects from running the coilover so raked back like that? My mind tells me that looks all wrong, but I don't know much about suspensions.

This is a question for Brian.. as far as i know, its not the best way to do it obviously... but in a real world application there is no right or wrong way. Its more about doing what works/fits. I did not want to move the stock air filter or abs stuff in the engine bay.
Also, here is a video of the suspension at work on the street. Ignore the brake line rub, that getting fixed today.

I'm hoping to get Justin vehicle in December to build shock morning for everyone. For now what he did is an option.
As for racking the shocks at an angle...It's fine. The whole idea of having shocks perfectly straight up and down is total bull crap. Coilovers are adjustable in both spring rate and valving. Giving us the ability to tune as needed for the angle they have been mounted. We do what we have to to make it handle how we want.
The percentage of rake on the coil just decreases the spring rate and valving slightly. You can make up for it with heavier springs and really won't be a problem.
