Thanks! I had some friends help me here and there, mostly just minor stuff. And I called my buddy, who lives 4 hours away and has linked a few rigs, for a lot of consultation, but mostly by myself. Did a ton of reading on pirate and elsewhere. Not as clean as a lot of builds but I think it's solid and functional.

Tell me more...?

My lowers are inboarded and line up with the frame rails and then hit on the inner Cs of the axle side.

If they were 4-5" inboard on each side(frame) you'd probably loose almost all of that 2.5 (or whatever) degrees of roll oversteer

Excessively triangulated lowers will just start to make things a bit funky. Yours aren't bad. I suggest to most people to reduce roll steer by
1) lowering lower frame mounts as much as they are comfortable with
2) raising lower axle mounts as much as they are ok with

3) lastly, inboard frame / outboard axle mounts to reduce roll axis even further

... For several reasons. Wheel recession is a big part of it.

So maybe I'm just misunderstanding but it seems like #3 ,to some extent, contradicts this, "Excessively triangulated lowers will just start to make things a bit funky."

So when you say excessive? I mean if booger is saying I could have brought mine in another 4" on the frame side...?

Without building some pads off the inside of the frame for the lower link mounts to weld to I inboarded and outboarded all I could. I definitely could have raised the lower link axle mounts a little but something tells me theres probably downsides to that as well. And I wouldn't really want to hang my lower link frame side mounts any lower.

It really is kind of interesting to see how tiny changes affect these numbers in big ways though. I still maintain you can 3 link a rig without the calculator following these 'principles' and have it turn out decent.

Nuke goat and I are on COMPLTELY different pages here. There is ZERO relationship to link triangulation and wheel recession. I think he's 90 degrees off in thinking what causes link angles to display wheel recession. Meaning steep angles up AT the chassis, not toward the center of it(triangulation).

Lets see some video of these 3 links beasts wheeling.... Maybe some more pics too.

That's not what I'm saying. Excessive triangulation on a 3 link will cause the axle to exhibit more bump steer. When the panhard shoves the axle sideways, the more triangulated a set of lowers are, the more one tire juts forward and the other recedes.

Wheel recession is another related topic but my primary point was the one above.

Oh, gotcha.

I'm not triangulating the lowers much, there's always a transmission in the way, in front. It's enough to clean up the roll center, and keep tires off the links when steering.

You know, you did my link calc spreadsheet.

I think what I typed to max above reads 4-5" on each side(as in 8-10"). We both have a similar width axle, but he's got much bigger knuckles so he can't get those links out as far as mine. If he put his lowers 4-5" more invoard(2-2.5" each), his suspension would be nearly exactly mine. Guessing from the pics thiugh

Challenge:

SurfNturf 2014. Bring your radius arm craziness and ill bring my 3 stink. We will play follow the leader with random naked females driving our trucks over various terrain at speed.

When the radius arm girl fails, she gives me a blowjob. If my 3 linked truck fails, ill give the owner a gagging blowjob(complete with reach around and ball cupping).

I think we're going to build a radius arm setup on my roomies cummins. It probably won't beat your setup but god damn it I had to quote this all the same.

BUMP :flipoff2:
