Today was a good day.
Got lucky on a purchase of an FJ55/80 Chassis Competition Truck.

Nissan Patrol GU Diffs with Airleakers.
Full hydro front steering.
Healthy V8 Motor.

Just need to throw some 37/40" tyres on it.

Took ACID out for it's shakedown test.
Can't believe how capable it is!

Trialed out some Sand-Blasting for the driver's side channels.

Pretty happy how it came out. Now to put the new channel peices back together.

Took ACID out for a quick birp.
Fit an early style grille to the front.
Reran the winch cables.
Wash & polish.

Not bad for a glorified turtle.

Drivers roof channels buttoned up.
Time to start the rear.

Also measured the 5.5" chassis cut for the FZJ80R Chassis.

You are cutting right where the links mount?
I don't know anything about doing the 80 frame conversion, but I thought folks usually cut right in front of those so you don't have to mess w/ the mounts and leave the links the same length?

All the drawings and photos I've seen is in this spot. @brisveganbj42 helped me out a lot with the measurements.
