Now it's getting serious.

1FZFE/AUTO 4 Speed and GXL cab seperated.
Now to bring it back to Sydney from Melbourne (1000km) and start the fun part.

Any tips on things to tackle with the body off? Sensors or hard to reach items. Welsh plugs or rear motor seals?

Absolutely, replace everything you can think of now. Rear main seal for sure.

Side note, I have one of those Oztents, RV-5 and threw my back getting it off the roof rack. She's a great tent though!

Our Oztent RV4. Superb tent.

Driver's windscreen lower / A Pillar.
Lots of small details toyota put into this pillar for strength, hard to replicate at home.
The windsceen section is lead wiped into place and smooth over the A Pillar.
Anyway, here's how we cut and replaced it, and the rust that lay underneath

Dude! You have some skillz...

Go ahead @bobm , this is the part where you tell us it is only metal!

CAD Files finally came for the roof channels.
Can now try a few test stamps in the auto benders. Hopefully they come out workable.

@bobm downunder.

Boy, these are the type of builds where I get to learn stuff!
Thanks for posting more pics!!!

Is the plan to reproduce or make more betta?
Planning to for sure.

There still will be some fine tuning, but the channels should have enough shape for somebody to put into place.

It's certainly not a 'kit' per say.

When I originally spoke with some panel shops they didn't want to know me without these channels being made.

Attended the 2022 OCKA Invitational in Rawson, nestled in the Victorian High Country, Victoria, Australia.
Over 80 FJ40, FJ55s, FJ60s and every combination between attended for a weekend of wheeling and campfire stories.

@brisveganbj42 took his wonderful FJ55 to the event, quietly my favorite of the weekend.
I also got my hands of an 80 series front end I will be building. Part-time kit with Locker, Breathers and upgraded studs for now.

Shed time tonight.
Removed the passenger side guard.
All bar one bolt came out super easy.

Get to start tearing down ready for the roof and gutters to be welded in.

Are there any links for those who have profiled the roof edges?

Picked up a 4 Speed Auto and Full Time Transfer for the build.
Slapped a new seal kit in the transfer and cleaned it up.

Pick up the chassis next weekend ready to bring home and start being prepped for shortening
