Far out what an epic thread!
I often read what others have done to their MWBs for inspiration on what I can do on my FJ73.
Your engine bay is gagging for an episode of "while I'm here, I may as well..." and then the next 3 to 6 months disappear...
Bit of work I have had to do, replaced rear doors (I had a good spare set, same colour) and and PITA job replacing the front guard. Much bigger job than anticipated. The one I had was white, i've painted it to match, i'm not a good painter...
Just burned up a bunch of wires under the hood. :(
Electric guy needs to come back.

I heated the glass and metal up with a heat gun to release the hot glue holding the glass, twisted the s clockwise and counterclockwise until it came free, then peeled the metal lip holding the glass back as much as I dared and...
I've searched through 5 pages of results and not easily found how to disassemble the glass from the side mirrors safely.
I have a replacement pair of mirrors but the glass is loose and the head is seized on the arm so I need to disassemble it...
And a trip like this isn't without incident...
so much leaf litter in the car.. I was driving around with the windows down due to how warm it was and I dont have AC yet..
The snorkle head got completely ripped off by a tree and I had to go...
Next day was again moving on for more exploring:
And got some fuel while we could... we're in a semi remote area and the white patrol was a petrol so we all topped up not knowing when we would next be near fuel.

Then off again. Things have been pretty dry around here and the river levels were down. This meant we could access tracks...
So... Easter 2024 involved going away camping and wheeling with the 4wd club.. there wasn't much interest in a call for a trip so just three vehicles headed out with a general area in mind to do some exploring.
First up was some tourer spec mods...
That track was anything but smooth... got thrown around so much that I broke the hinge on my seat back right at the start of the track. I had to put it back in using the axe about 30mins later when there was a chance to stop and get out. Later on...
The Target Carrier and my Frankencruiser have been working on their bar tans. Went to turn mine around to work on the tailgate a few weeks ago and the battery was stone cold dead. Happens I guess when they haven’t been started since last April...
