A bit overdue for an update:

SAS was a blast. There are many really great cruiser people out there in the universe and for one week they come together and hang out. If your reading this, you should consider it for 2019.

The drive out was a bit hectic, drive back was amazing. Solo parenting is hard, but it was all part of the adventure. I had a great support group on the road. Both @Kleatus for the ride there and @gt7058a for the whole damn ride.

Replaced a fuel filter. Thought it was the issue on the road to CO.

Replaced the Fuel Pump in SLC. Thanks @cruiseroutfit for the amazing drop in customer service.

Wow WOW Wow!!! Kudos dad for taking such a leap w/ your son! To drive all that alone w/ only a caravan to lean on? You rock! What is he 3/4? Love all the photos esp the one of him on the rock and the last one of you spinning him. Frame them. He will stare at them for weeks and the memory of that trip will never leave him.

Ever since my son saw me skydive all his play includes a character skydiving. It brings a grin to my face every time.

He is 3 and change. All things considered he did really well. We did have some casualties including one iPad screen cracked (fell out of the car on some camber parking) one headphone wire was chewed thru in the car on the way back which meant we switched to the car stereo for sound, lucky me. But that was about it.

Hope more kids come next year.

Looks like he’s not wearing a diaper in the pixs? I can’t imagine a non potty trained kid doing a long trip like that.

Just wanted to give one more shout-out to @gt7058a for hanging with Hunter and I the whole time. He was for sure cool about my side piece, despite Hunter being a little much most of the time. He also has a LS cruiser and could have easily blasted there and back in less time.

Thanks Chris! I’ll be submitting these photos to GQ on your behalf.

There were quite a few, dramatic pull to the side of the road maneuvers.

We brought a little toilet but he didn’t want to use it since it was for babies. During our parking lot fuel pump change out.

Solid work @NookShneer !

I’d love to do this with my family. My 2 kids love the cruiser and have missed riding in it.
I’m starting my PS gearbox rebuild today and tapping for the hydro assist. First step in the SOA conversion. 4BT and NV4500 are all done. Sounds and drives amazing. Not the paint shaker I thought.
