Nice beginning. Like the pizza cutters
Hate to be naïve but "pizza cutters"?

I am missing the strip of dash under the heater controls and just trying to figure way to replace this if anyone has access to the part ( I am sure these are just as rare as anything else on these beauts!)

More pics coming today when owner back from the lake. I am curious after reviewing a ton of pics if the hubs are "dualnatics" from the old days!

Ha, makes sense. Yeah I pointed those out to the wife when I was stating my case to buy!!

Fresh pics? as expected some nice rust and more to be found. I am not deterred though!

This was reported to be on hunting ranch in Tx (Belton) area. Seller said it appears to have been passed through several other ranches in area in the past.
It's in Wimberly now.

Forgot this one!

Yeah, not the one I was thinking. That was a 69 that made a brief appearance

Similar taste in Custard, like the Pokey Little Puppy

So in anticipation of going on a pork run with my Dad in little over a week I was hoping to make list of things to do.

I hope to crawl under it in the warm sun of Oklahoma and drain all the fluids and oil. I hope I can find a oil filter for this thing, do they take a pretty common size? Change the fuel filter although I bet tank needs to dropped and cleaned up anyway. Carb probably needs to be removed a soaked although this won't happen until she is back in Oklahoma in 5-6 weeks if I am lucky. I won't be driving her much except maybe down the road on the farm. SAd no one will see the s*** eating grin I will be wearing.

Any recommendations from you Pig pro's on what you did to help bring the pig back from the dead?

Not sure if the F engine takes the same oil filter as a 2F, but I always used the WIX 51515.

As a rule of thumb, you check your points gap and adjust as needed, check your timing, and then adjust the air mixture screw on the carb as needed to bring your idle to around 800 rpm. Before this procedure, be sure the vacuum lines and ports are routed properly and plugged where needed with no vacuum leaks.
Probably be a good idea to buy several in-line fuel filters to have them at the ready. If the fuel in the tank is questionable, drain it and get fresh.
DOT3 brake fluid for brake master cylinder AND clutch master cylinder.
Check tire pressures.

Even before you drop the tank, I recommend draining it, and carry extra filters as already stated. See what comes out of the plug when you drain it.

just assume every fuel line/coolant hose is dry rotted. Call a reputable vendor and just get them all.

If you can get it on a lift, check for wheel wobble 12/6 for trunion bearings, 3/9 for wheel bearings. Or just with a floor jack.

carb cleaning will be fun.

The diaphragm on the old mechanical fuel pumps seems to fail/dry rot when they sit.

so, about 30min and $76.50 should do it :)
