Finally added this 1971 FJ55 to the collection. Bone stock had been used as a snow plow. Runs and drives. Plan is disc brake conversion get the AC working and clean up. Really excited to get started on this one

Same here. No regrets.I swapped to a 60 series, internal regulated alternator. Coolerman makes the plug and play wiring connectors to bypass the external regulator. Just an option if you want a few more amps with no mechanical changes necessary.

I can see it coming Pre running the King of the Hammers in a 55, It’s Looks good out thereFirst trip out to Johnson Valley Ca. Perfect weather and the 55 ran Great. A few electrical issues were working through other than that I was really happy.

Great pictures!I met a very good friend Tiana Walton while in Johnson Valley, She was a photographer we met a the at this years King of the Hammers. She is from the UK and had never even seen a 55 in person. So I drove it out yesterday and we have a Great day wheeling. A few minor trail repairs, lunch and perfect weather.
