Super tight squeeze getting the trailer out of the trailer! I got it in there though, right?

I’m jealous of your tractor forks. I’ve been trying to convince my dad we needs them.

I made them out of an old forklift forks. Made the grapple on it too. I use that set up way more than the bucket.

That's a helluva'n exhaust :)
@bdyer had it made for his 60 when it had this 12h-t in it. I bought it with the engine since it was a spot on fit. He has been very generous with parts and support on this project.

Well, body and frame are one again. Barely, but it is on there.

Looks great!

Alright hurry up and finish this so we can see the VDJ73 you are building.... twin turbo V8 diesel, I'm in.

I wish.

Actually, there is a motor for sale pretty darn reasonable in AU. Only about $7k with exchange rate to AU dollars plus shipping and comes with transmission.

Not going down that road though. The 73 is (only) getting a 12h-t :)

Plus it wouldn't fit width wise. :frown: A 12HT in there will be sweet. I'm happy with my 13BT, so imagine a 12HT is just a little more powerful/torquey 13BT...with 2 more cylinders.

I need opinions on where to go with trim colors on Chunk.

I have a new grille, headlight covers, nice door handles, and all the stainless trim. Original plan was to go with all that shiny stuff because I really like chrome trim on white paint.

That said, @Box Rocket did an awesome rendering for me and almost the trim is blacked out. Mainly I am concerned about the grille, headlight trim and door handles.

What do you all think? Do I go oem look, or blacked out?

I like it still has crome hub caps tho lol

Here's what I did with Ingrid. 2 colors used were "Ceramic Cast Coat" Engine Enamel (Dupli-Color IIRC) in satin finish
and black satin finish. I like it because it's more "complex" than just all black and looks more OEM'ish while
maintaining low contrast.

Chrome takes my vote. One less step to finishing on time as well:rofl:

True on the time thing, although a lot of it I can powder coat during my work day so not a huge deal. The biggest time killer will be coating the door handles black and the window trim black, then deciding to change it. I really dont think I'll get a feel for my comfort with the black trim until the blue stripes are on. I suppose I could skeleton finish the doors to unlatch from the inside (no windows), get the front clip on, then run it out for stripes. Then I could try both looks on one side.

Whatever you do it’s going to look sweet as long as you have those retro blue decals and steelies.

Adam's rendering sure looks rad. But I think practicality wins here. Chrome will look better longer. The grille would chip down the road, and will require touching up. @Rockymtnreaper might have better advice, though! His is black on his 60, and it looks awesome.
