......would have done the same... a standard registration.Texas registration sticker in the windshield. I opted for standard vehicle registration Instead of classic car registration. I don’t like being constrained and I take joy in the fact that it passes inspection yearly.

Steering box blew a leak. Seems like it might have been leaking for a bit. I noticed small puddle of gear oil. Time to rebuild.

3 shims removed from sector shaft. 6 remain.
Tightened up the wheel play to an inch or so.
Painted and reassembled.

Yes it works......Fill a leaking gear box with grease. Manual steering boxes generate no heat. Grease works great.
