Headache rack assembled, powder coated and attached.

New tires in the bed are Yokohama 285/75/16 and city racer 16in black wheels. Only 2 of the wheels came in, the others are still in transit.

Super bummed. I wanted to have the tires mounted....oh well

Surprise surprise.
Wheels 3 and 4 were supposed to arrive Tuesday...
Fed ex called and said they were on the way TODAY! Tire shop was open, ba boom.

The oh so simple yet satisfying illuminated F.D light

From the F.D pull knob, through the vac switching box, intact vac lines and finally moving the ball bearing to close the switch. It’s a comforting visual confirmation that the fork moved and even the light bulb is working. 55 years later, still works.

Whelp, here goes.... My kids love to fish, be outdoors, and they love the 40. While they are still young and I’m still cool, I’m going to build an expedition trailer for some high adventure. Inspired by @Volcanic Iceberg and @cruiseroutfit I’ll do my version of an overland expedition trailer...
