Just had same issue (sluggish, low power) and big decision I had to make on the rebuild.

Unless it's a "forever truck" the resale values don't cover the cost of a V8 or diesel conversion. Unless you can get either engine for $500 - $1,000 and supply all the labor for the install and electrical mapping.

Rebuild the 2F. It's your:
- fastest path to getting it back on the road
- lowest cost for a fully rebuilt installed power plant
- highest resale value with the broadest resale appeal

Plan on $4K min as there's a lot of "you might as well" parts replacement that will turn up.

You are totally correct. I'd go 3FE before a 2F though just for the fuel injection.

..... or you can commit and build one for life. All I heard from you over the years is how much you've missed owning a 60 diesel .

I'm on it!

The Snowpocolypse is upon us!

Did my first upgrade on the 60 yesterday. I bought a pair of front side markers from City Racer. Good price on the pair.

I also found a treasure box of stuff from when I bought the Princess from Henry @Exiled. Found two door handles (my front one was broken). There also appears to be a pair of JDM fender mounted mirrors in there. Don't know if they're complete though.

I also found the winch controller buried in the passenger side fender (along with a bunch of nuts..damn mice).

Yes. I'm just waiting on Tucker's buddy to finish with the engine hoist before I can start pulling the engine/tranny.

Yes, 1HZ with this turbo. No crazy boost. I just want to have some performance without killing its dependability.
