I totally get your frustration, but that looks like it might look better in the darker leather than the original color? I did darker leather replacement on mine (beige interior) and I think it's held up much better than the original!
I run the generic Duralast "mist pattern" sprayers on both of my 100s and they are great. Easy to swap and SO much better than the three streams that never seemed to hit the right spot and wasted washer fluid like crazy...
I have been using a non-offset hawse fairlead ever since installing my winch with no issues. I use it quite frequently too, mostly to clear trees from trails with the help of a snatch block.
I'd be very surprised if the Morrflate compressor fits into the Slee tray; I have a very compact Viair compressor and it wouldn't fit into the Slee tray (which would have been a very clean solution) by about 1" in width. I considered all kinds of...
Are you looking for a used set, or new? Finding a used set of five (and I would recommend ordering six if you're going to run these, in case anything happens) will be very difficult stateside; maybe someone with a Middle East connection like Land...
I consider Dissent to be at the very top of the heap (those welds!), but just Saturday I was admiring a brand new Slee rear bumper and that clamp system is a thing of beauty, it is the best out there. The other thing to note about Slee products...
I don't have mine in a 200 but the Victory 4x4 rear shelf in my 100 has been going strong for 2+ years and multiple long offroad trips. It doesn't rattle or shake, although I have had to periodically check the hardware to retighten it. I've been...
I loathe using drive throughs in general but every once in a while, I am forced to park somewhere. Ordered this off Amazon. Works well for parking tickets and tapping the credit card.
But beware: if anyone else gets in the car and this is...
This is a good point, but parts availability for Toyota diesel engines has improved dramatically over the last five years, not only are there 5-7 importers that are pretty good with parts availability, but with Partsouq, Amayama and others, most...
I have a RHD BJ42, and I've gotten used to driving it, no issues. That said, if I was going through the hassle and expense (shipping is nuts these days) of importing a JDM 100 series it would absolutely be a diesel one. There are plenty of petrol...
My two boys came home from the hospital in an FJ62, and rode in our 2003 UZJ100 and later in our 2016 200 series until they were old enough to drive their own car (taught to drive in my '99 UZJ100, that was stressful). Throughout those years we...
You cannot fit 7 adults comfortably in a 100 or a 200 series landcruiser.
3rd row is good for short runs around the town or for someone under 5 ft tall.
I don’t prefer driving a minivan but the practicality of it is hard to beat for a bigger...
Thank you for taking the time to post this thread and share your adventure, this was awe inspiring! As much thought as I put into traveling in my 25-yr old 100 series and here you are CRUSHING IT in an FJ40...kudos!!!
That is the idle fuel mixture screw.
You can:
1) Use the appropriate Toyota Special Service Tool to make adjustments to your current screw
2) Replace with user adjustable idle mix screw
3) Break the head off the anti-tamper screw, grind...
