Time for an update. Have all but finished work on the chassis and it will be ready for the body to go back on once the under floor and firewall are painted. Photo dump of some before and after.
All new EFS suspension with a 2 inch lift. All new brakes including slotted rotors, new rear drums, rear wheel cylinders, all pads and shoes replaced, ungraded LN106 Hilux calipers, all flexible lines replaced. Will also be adding an 80 series booster. Should give a nice improvement to the braking.
New wheel bearing and rebuilt hubs. New clutch and pressure plate installed. Redid all the gaskets on the motor along with the front crank seal, rear main seal and front gearbox shaft input seal. Fingers crossed there should be no oil leaks.

Time for an update. Been putting in the hours in the shed and the 60 is almost ready to go back on the road.

Painted the body fully back earlier in the year.

With most of the 60 back together and running I got to work on the front and rear bars. The rear bar was originally an 80 series unit with spare wheel swing mount which I have modified and now fits the 60.

The front bar I built from scratch including a winch mount which I've not yet fitted as I still need to rebuilt the winch. Will need to cut out the front for the winch hawse once the winch is ready be fitted. Still a few minor things to do but hope to have it on the road early in the new year.

What seats are you running?

Seats are Autotecnica Adventurer 4x4's. They are kind of a cheap imitation Scheel-Mann style seat. Not sure if these are going to stay yet. I have a set of original 60 series bucket seats which I'm still considering getting re-trimmed. I'll add some better photos of the interior next time I get its out.

Interior is mostly done.

Rear seats only have a canvas cover for now. Not sure yet whether to get the rear re-trimmed or remove altogether and make a full flat floor.

Rear cargo area and black headlining to match the darker themed interior.

Still need to make bracket to secured the fridge and for my bike mount. This is how it will be used most of the time hence the reason I'm thinking of removing the rear seat altogether.

Fridge can be accessed through the 3XM windows.
