So, I tried to get brakeline kits from reputable sources on Mud but they are $500 with ETA unknown. Bought this all plus an additional 24 tube nuts $220. Doing multiple rigs. Glad this destiny is now within our control. Will pay for itself many times over.

Also forked over my left n$t for this set. Tired of stripping JIS hardware. The nut at the end of the handle to leverage with wrench is genius. Made quick work of things.

Good afternoon at the barn. LS engine placed in my sons truck. Trans cover will fit with minimal mods. Lucked out. One item off the list.

These are the best. Haven’t stripped one yet. Even ones that I thought would never come out got a nice pop sound before coming loose. Drilling out and tapping are in the rear view mirror. Well worth it.

We have been busy. @SipLife has been hitting it hard with 8 hour days trying to get his build together. Drive train is in. Transmission cross member done, brake lines done, clutch lines done, trans tunnel mods done, custom fan shroud done, fj60 steering conversion done, new OME 2.5” lift and new shoes. Order Tom Wood drive shafts. It was tricky getting bolt diameter and bolt pattern dimensions on a 40 front axle, 60 series H55f trans/ splitcase and 70 series rear axle to work from a drive shaft perspective.

Also getting Angus ready for SAS5. Was planning to bushing replacements. Borrowed the wits end tool. Went out to the driveway to get it into the barn....quarter size birf soup spot on the DS. Did knuckle job instead. @Cowboy45 was a great help. Bushings today and tomorrow. Head out Friday 😩

We mocked up an 80 series rear e brake system on bluebonnet. Looks like it will work. Just need to shorten the cable on the PS and put a new end piece. Reading on line that a grade 8 bolt shank drilled to receive the cable and welding works. Swaging is another option. Need some advice.

Took a week off to attend SAS5. Met some great folks and had a great time. Boys are inspired to get back to work. @SipLife is getting the fuel tank ready. New in tank pump from Mosley motors.

@Broski it was awesome to connect in person as well!!! You all are welcome to the Elf Barn anytime you swing by. Hopefully get out to your neck of the woods one of these days.

I just read through this one from the beginning. Man, that was a good story to see unfold. I'd only seen it in pieces before. Matt mentioned FSAE several pages back; FSAEH (FSAE - Hybrid) is smaller than the FSAE parent, but it puts a great twist on FSAE that brings the competition into where mainstream automotive seems to be headed. Figured y'all might be interested in checking that out.

It was good to see you and the family last week. I'm hoping it isn't another year before we catch up with the TX crowd in person. If any of y'all are up in the north Alabama area give us a shout.
