Heavy lifting planned for the weekend 💪. Any ideas for eeking out a little better performance from a F engine aside from a v8 swap? Considered a clutch fan but sounds like the hassle is barely worth the work. The motor does have a holly carb on it so gonna give that a go for starters and its tuned, valves adjusted, seals & wp new. new bottle of Super Clean ready to crack open before install.

Nice job @Tomba !
I had some really good results using vinegar and a Scotch Brite pad to clean the inner fenders. There’s also supposed to be some white Rustoleum or Krylon spray paint that is pretty close to the original white color.
Thanks. Hmmm. I started w Super Clean but maybe I should add a scotch brite pad to that combo. If that doesn't do the trick I'll try vinegar.

Yeah the paint color is a tough one,. I found the cygnus white from CC is to cream colored. How can I find out what resto or krylon color that is..??

Is every thing a PIA? Cleaning up moving along. Ordered new motor mounts which are completely different then OEM, in addition when I purchased them there were no addl hardware mentioned just the mounts which, clearly are missing some hardware. Am I missing a few long bolts nuts and washers for these 4 rear mounts? Are they just stacked fat sides together as in the pic attached and then bolted w washers on each end?

Thanks-

It looks like my new motor mounts were the same way, without the metal insert collar

On my motor rebuild, I too purchased what were labeled as compatible motor mounts. I ended up keeping the original rear mounts and I believe I used the new front ones. Dimensionally the new rear mounts were not even close.

yes, they are significantly smaller. I am thinking of returning them all (fronts and rears) as mine look to be in decent shape. Fronts completely different shape too.
