i’m thinking you cut a hole in hood, install a big blower!Heavy lifting planned for the weekend. Any ideas for eeking out a little better performance from a F engine aside from a v8 swap? Considered a clutch fan but sounds like the hassle is barely worth the work. The motor does have a holly carb on it so gonna give that a go for starters and its tuned, valves adjusted, seals & wp new. new bottle of Super Clean ready to crack open before install.
Thanks. Hmmm. I started w Super Clean but maybe I should add a scotch brite pad to that combo. If that doesn't do the trick I'll try vinegar.Nice job @Tomba !
I had some really good results using vinegar and a Scotch Brite pad to clean the inner fenders. There’s also supposed to be some white Rustoleum or Krylon spray paint that is pretty close to the original white color.
Estimate how many cans you think for the engine bay? thinking 2-3?
No idea, but I would double or triple coat itEstimate how many cans you think for the engine bay? thinking 2-3?
yes, they are significantly smaller. I am thinking of returning them all (fronts and rears) as mine look to be in decent shape. Fronts completely different shape too.On my motor rebuild, I too purchased what were labeled as compatible motor mounts. I ended up keeping the original rear mounts and I believe I used the new front ones. Dimensionally the new rear mounts were not even close.
Thanks Don , great seeing you too!thats some OCD stripping of engine bay, but will be nice.
great seeing you at swap meet today, call if you need help slapping that fing, i mean F motor in truck
