The Allen-head plug is on both sides. Not sure why it’s there. 🤷‍♂️
the directions are clear as mud to me.
did y’all have to fab your own transfer case shifter?

The plate that the tcase shifter is "superposed" to mount to isn't even wide enough for the shifter..... 🤦‍♂️

There are two differ types of t-case shifters if I recall correctly. The bracket is for the earlier years.
This is what I got and my shifter.

May as well make what you have work since you will be cutting and welding even if you have the earlier shifter.

That’s actually a later model shifter. It’s much easier to use the early style. I picked mine up on Ebay. You might try Yoda Jim’s since you’re in the Denver area

That's what I mean. Even with the the early shifter like I have modification was neccessary, so he ought to just fab something for the one he has already.

Has anyone run a Chevy dash cluster instead of the factory cluster? Seems it would eliminate a lot of work on the oil pressure, temp, and tach.
This is the route I plan to take..

Oil pressure and temp is pretty easy with the toyota gauges. Tach is just a converter from Dakota digital although mine dips for a second when I hit the turn signal for some reason. I would say it's probably less work to adapt the toyota gauges. I would go full aftermarket otherwise. Maybe even a touch screen Tablet that loads torque automatically with key on.

Sound interesting. Document with lots of pics if u go that route. I planning to remake cluster with new aftermarket guages
I thought about doing this as well, but budget is tight.

I looked at the Dakota boxes, but a 25ish dollar dash cluster vs a 200 something for the box to get the tach to work... Again my budget is tight. My main focus is to make it work and function as "cheap" as possible.
