I finished cleaning up the rear seat belts. They are still 50 years old but at least they are clean.

Received these from @cruisermatt to mount my spare tire latch to the rear crossmember/sill. These are made for the tail gate hinges but the spare tire carrier latch is the same hole spacing. Very High quality.

The clevis pins for the brake and clutch pedals use a cotter pin to retain them on the 40 series trucks. I hate standing on my head trying to install or remove one of those pins so I looked around and found these clips used on the 80 series trucks and a bunch of Toyota cars.

Why couldn't you have posted this about two weeks ago? Haha 😆

As an aside, I am working on adding a rear camera on my 08 FJCruiser. There is a boss on the rear door for the grommet to feed the camera wire through but the part number for the grommet is a mystery. I found this one, not the correct one for the camera but is commonly used as a license plate wire grommet on Toyota cars. I wanted something with a neck on it to help seal out the water. It might work on the FJ40 rear wheel wells where the wires for the side markers come up through. I will check next time I visit my truck at the body shop. $8.37 from Mr. T, 90480-15194.

I wonder if this would suffice as a door wire grommet for 60 series trucks?

I wouldn’t say with any certainty but since I am elbow deep in my FJ40 seats, there are washers like these under the bolts that hold the sliders to the floor uprights.

One thing I notice: the holes in the seat slides for the bolts are almost double the size of the bolts. It’s as if someone intentionally planned on potentially twisting the seat a few degrees left or right instead of a well- calculated hole alignment. Of course with a hole that large, a decent washer will keep the hex head of the bolts secured better that just the minimal edge of the 6-point head

They did come from inside the truck I think, this makes sense. I will put them in the seat bracket box.
