Started tackling this after work this week and these are my notes through removal that may be beneficial, especially to those with older trucks (IE rust) I apologize if any of this is redundant:
- Soak everything that needs to be removed on the...
Shoot, I would love that! I have an '06, built out, and it's not a DD, so only get's short city trips but I'm at 8MPG...I've done everything except replace the catalytic converters lol.
I originally thought it was the truck using engine braking/GPS since it always felt like “regen” braking, especially with how hilly ATL is. There is some documentation on this, so I believed it.
Turns out both rear calipers were fairly stuck...
Life gets busy, especially when your 100 lives on life support.
Travel has calmed down quite a bit for business. 34 trips last year cooked me so the 100 didn't get much love. Just back and forth to the airport...
Now, it's sitting for weeks in...
Way better all around, it weighs heavier, the construction is more rigid, it fits better (not perfect as no product will zero in with the fitment-manufacturing, material and scanning challenge), it’s thicker and edges are stouter (will never...
SS braid lines have zero flex. So will give you rock hard braking feel in pedal. If fluid good, seals in master in top condition, accumulator still has/holds great pressure and calipers re-sealed. One toe on pedal will engage brakes hard. Install...
Oh, this is great! Thank you so much!
Do you have Venmo, paypal, or address I can send you an old fashioned check?

Initial thoughts was how quiet and smooth it runs now, which I’m diggin’, it could just be me, gonna top it off and drive it this week, so hopefully I can have some type of feedback at the end of the week.
How does it drive, any difference? My '06 has 305K on the original muffler. No issues with it, but always curious what new breathing components might do!

Sun was out, so the 22 year old exhaust is out, new OEM unit is in. Nice and quiet for the first time in a while. New gaskets, hardware, and clamp as well, had to reuse the damper and shield, so we’ll see how that goes.
R and R'd the Master brake assembly on my '99. At 450k, and some extra run time noted on my booster pump, I swapped it before failure. This is a 1.5 banana job, 2.5 hours going slow. $1180 all in with Toyota DOT3 on a Mr. T sale, shipped...
I would love to retain the OEM Nav Bezel, and be able to install a Teyes Style Screen that is compatible with the OE buttons. The biggest thing that is stopping me from removing the OE Nav Setup is the physical HVAC buttons.

Later 100-Series Land Cruisers and LX470s integrate climate UI and status into the NAV/MFD through Toyota’s body multiplex network. Removing the NAV removes the visible...
Man i miss my 100 series, throw back to the time i drove 10,000 miles in a vehicle that got 12mpg...best trip ever...I'm scouring FB marketplace every day hoping to find one to keep forever.
@2001LC - My '06 has some very random, and at times, "darty" steering. I have replaced pretty much everything except this Intermediate Shaft and the steering rack. New UCA/LCA, TRE's (inner and outer), and alignment. Do you think this shaft...
Have been there done that - and have had the same experiences as above
I don’t like to bad mouth other companies - but maybe you pick another one with a better more friendly track record
I took advantage of the Grom Vline2 group buy to bring the War Wagon into the 21st century (sorta)! Install was a two beer job for me. The hardest part was routing the cakes into the glove box. So far, it works great.
I love the service manual PDF but I wanted to build a reference that is a little bit more searchable. I parsed the service manual into text and threw it behind a small, lightweight website that can search for titles and other things. It was a...
