I sold my FZJ70 to my boy Justin from Mobile. He got a peek of my Plain Vanilla FZJ100 that I just imported from Saudi and decided he needed one.

I got @Meshal on the job......

Yeah, there’s a bunch of that going on. So is Justin the second “double-double”?

Justin kicked around the green a bit and over the next few days it became evident that we were going green.

This color is super rare in Saudi and very very rare to find one that has such low KMs and the paint was not faded.

We went back and forth Saudi style on the price and locked it in by mid month in November.

@wardharris this is the 4th customer counting you but not counting me that has bought two Saudi trucks. The container mate for this truck is is a FZJ100 and it's the owners 3rd import via Meshal.

Even though these trucks have low KMs, some show a bit more wear than others. All depends on where the prior owners live and how they are used.

This one seems to have lived on a dirt road because it was pretty dirty. No scrapes on the underside but lots of dust.

Meshal took the truck on a road trip immediately to determine what mechanical amd cosmetic changes he would recommend.

He ran into another Mica almost immediately

He stopped off to have it measured for some custom "saddle bags"

Thanks, boss. Those are some significant numbers - nothing says satisfied like repeat business.

Justin wanted a winch once it got here but we talked him into getting an OEM winch instead.

Meshal started collecting OEM parts and dropped a used winch off at his guy that rebuilds them.

I am very happy my liner and luggage build!

Saudis don't really know wash their cars like we do. Even when they sell them. A cleaned up engine bay makes a buyer suspicious that the seller is hiding the real condition. Same goes with the underside.

So naturally the first thing I want is that s*** clean so I know what needs replacing.

Meshal always makes it happen.

Meshal gave us a list.

1)What must be done.
2)What should be done.
3)What he wanted to do beyond that.

Justin started off somewhere between one and two but ended up solidly in the #3 camp

So....mechanicals first.

These guys work hard and for cheap and I've been more than happy with the quality on my past imports. Meshal has a good idea of what I expect and he goes by every day and yells at these poor guys and keeps them in line.

When they pull parts Meshal has them powdered before reinstall.

Even though the miles are low 27 year old parts often need replacing. Justin erred on the side of caution and green lighted a lot of nice new parts.

This saga all began back in October after visiting Tilda Bogue when I purchased Short E.

I was convinced I could talk @wngrog into selling me that sweet Saudi 100 of his that had just landed. I realized quickly he wasn’t going to even entertaining that idea.

A few weeks later he brought the 70 down to Mobile AL for me and picked up my beat up fj60. I couldn’t get his 100 out of my mind. I told him before he left if they came across a low mile G or GX like his in white, tan, or black to let me know!

You see I have a black 2001 LX470 that I have owned since around 2016. I have loved it since the day I got it. It’s comfortable enough to take a long trip with the family and just modern enough to keep up in traffic. BUT I have always wished it was a Toyota vs a LX. You know, I just get tired of explaining to people that it’s a Landcruiser. It’s also getting time to refresh some things on it. So I thought, why not get exactly what I want since I have this rare opportunity with @wngrog and @Meshal to so? 🤔

Well it wasn’t long afterwards I got a text …..

”How about green?”

I thought about it…..Never could I ever picture myself in a green 100. I thought, should I buy the only green Saudi 100 in the Middle East? Should I keep looking for a white, tan, or silver G or GX like all the others I see people buying.

Sent some messages back and forth. A couple videos. Price was right, and I was loosing sleep thinking about how unbelievably clean this thing was. Super low mileage. Money was sent. Next thing I know, I own myself a GCC spec 100.

@Meshal went through the truck meticulously and provided me with an estimate on what it needed after the initial purchase. From there we would decide what else we wanted to do while in there.

Once we took possession of the vehicle we gave Meshal the green light. One thing I like about @Meshal is he’s very familiar with these vehicles and once he knows your purpose for the vehicle, you just kind of “set him free” and let him him do his thing. He communicates efficiently and has an eye for things commonly overlooked….Anything I wasn’t certain about, @wngrog would point me in the right direction.

Don’t try to pull some odd ball 💩, Meshal isn’t going for it! 🤣 You want it to look like a G? Then buy you a G. The trim you buy is the trim you get. I admire that about him!! Minus a few upgrades, I like knowing the truck is “proper” and not a truck made up of different years and trims.

It’s how Toyota wanted it….for the most part anyway. *Minus those boring alloy wheels…..Steelies are the way!

Gorgeous. @Meshal And @wngrog do a great service with these. I'm in the 2 trucks imported camp.

So these trucks, in this condition, are quite rare. It seems there would be a want for them all over the world? Are the bidding wars intense? Why does no one want them in their current country?

Maybe if they were publicly posted but they're not. Just a couple guys finding them for clients and making the deal
