the odometer shows the original 241,000 km. 3b has 36 000kms since rebuilt, with new 12 volt harness
legal 1985 bj45 vin #, only 1985 bj45 PICK UP in existence! I have seen a few 1983 and 84 pick ups over the yrs, but 85 may be 1 of 1. Imported from New Zealand. Registered and insured in my name, no liens, no accidents. Has larger fuel tank ( I think 80 liters)
I just recently purchased this BJ 2 months ago and it took 30 hrs +++ to deliver it to my house + a plane ticket to the middle of western Canada. IT WAS WELL WELL worth it...

Hello all, first post but definitely not a newbie to LC's.
I am looking for that one car, that everyone has had at one point in their life, that they wish they'd never gotten rid of. Mine is the one I had while stationed in Japan for 15 years; a 1988 FJ-62 Turbo diesel.
I know I can wait 3 years and import one myself but I thought I'd try here to see if anyone knows of one that has been imported or had the diesel swap done already. I'm not sure what the stateside 4.2 liter engines can do but I can assume they get the typical underpowered crappy mileage (still not sure why the states won't get on board with what the rest of the world has already discovered years ago...turbo diesel's rule!)

1967 Military Jeep Trailer M762 (flat bed version of the M416) 3/4 ton capacity weighs 500 empty 1 person move able. Bed is 41" wide 72" long 23" off the ground. Light surface rust NO rust though. Overall width 60.5" length 106.5". Pintle hitch for better flex offroad and can be mounted at 19, 22.5, or 31.5" off the ground to match tow vehicle. Ground clearance 10" under the springs, 13" under the axle. Tires are 7.00x16 military NDT bolt pattern 5x5.5, have slight weather cracking, and 1 tire has slow leak need to add air once a week. New tubes are available on ebay for $13. Trailer has lights, perm trailer reg good for 5 yrs, and parking brake. Located in the Serra Mesa area of San Diego.

Selling my FJ to get back into a VW Corrado. Owned for almost a year now with no problems. My uncle owned the car before, and under his ownership he did a full engine and tranny rebuild when the odo hit 200k. It now has 291k and runs like a champ. The only negative is that the rear struts to the rear hatch have crapped out and don't hold the hatch up. There is ZERO rust on the truck.

So we are in serious need of a new truck since the 60 is up on blocks for the foreseeable future and it has too many rust-throughs to function as we need it to anyway.
