This weekend I played the Let's learn bead locks the hard way. Keep in mind the manufacturer says OFFROAD USE only and 25psi max.
I find it at the moment kind of like marine engines and equipment, a mix of black magic and luck. When I installed...
Everyone says I will even if I’m gentle. I wheeled Windrock last year, and the year before for a week on 35’s and nothing.
I don’t drive like most of the guys in the videos, I use the ATRAC and keep the rpm’s high enough to keep it engaged. And...
So far so good, I did 2 things,
1st I lengthened my fuel pump wiring, it was taught from the 2" body lift installed a few years ago.
2nd I replaced the fuel pump.
Ordered a Ironman FCP heavy front medium rear. Perry parts front and rear bumps and coil conversion, arb diff breather, eBay snorkel, super pro UCA, extended brake lines, lasfit switch panel, dr kdss rear panhard correction kit, and probably more...
PSA, when you do a body lift there is a little slack in your electrical and hoses. Not much on the GX though. I had an intermittent issue (might still be there I'm waiting) where the truck would just die. It took me some time, but I finally saw...
I want to retract my comments on balance the balance beads. After a few more camp trips I decided to remove my wheel spacers (Spydertrax 1.25”). My effects backspacing with the spacers was 3.25” (wheel BS 4.5, spacer 1.25, 4.5-1.25 = yup 3.25)...
Oddly enough when I was rebuilding my wife’s LED projectors in her 2005 Sequoia I noticed Toyota stuck the fuel heal sink thing in the DS fender well. Its located behind the battery on my Gx and get no air flow.
I have been searching specifically for an exact issue on my 2007 GX470 with no success, I broadened the search and found this thread with the SAME symptoms on the 100 series. I ordered a fuel pump to start the rabbit hole adventure.
The dyna beads in my 35's did nothing to make them run smooth in factory alloy wheels. The beads will not laterally balance a wheel/tire. Don't waste your time putting them in.
I

A couple of updates, I wanted so bad for balance beads to work so I saw what I wanted to see in the YouTube videos and was hooked, and yeah no those don't work in my 37's, if anything they are worse than my not-so-great balanced tires. I added...
Toyo's are hard to beat, I've had their AT II 's in a 285/75, the RT in a 35x12.5 and the MT in a 37x12.50. Love the AT & MT the best. I also have had good experience with Yokohama G003's in a 35, I really miss those. If your all chasing ALL THE...
