Rockin' body is essential, the brains (powertrain) is pretty much irrelevant.
So, if you have a clean 60 or 62, ZERO body rust (frame doesn't matter), and are willing to part with it, I'm game to strike up a deal. If it is a respray, I will want to see before pictures documenting that condition before the paint job.
It doesn't have to run, it doesn't have to even have a powertrain (or axles for that matter). It just has to be a damn great body. Interior is important, but for the right body (and price), I can find the interior goodies elsewhere if need be.
I am all up for a road trip, but am not going to drive cross country, nor do I want to spend a grand on a transport. So...

My first post on this forum. I am looking at getting my first LC and am looking for either an 80 or 100 series. Preferable a 100 series as realistically I am not a hardcore off-roader. It will be used as my daily driver (30 kms a day) and for vacationing with our popup trailer.
My budget is $10000 max.

I have regretted selling my 80 ever since I let it go 5 years ago. In the meantime I have been driving a nice 4Runner, but the urge to go back to an 80 is overpowering. My 4Runner is now for sale, but I may take a partial trade of a nice clean 80 with lockers and low miles.

1988 Toyota Landcruiser
I picked this up from my girlfriends parents a while ago with the idea to turn it into a strictly off-road rig, but decided that I would rather just turn my '98 into a DD/Trail rig. When I purchased it from them it wasn't starting, I figured out that some of the wiring was bad and fixed it. It now starts every time if the battery has a good change. The battery in it currently doesn't hold a charge very well but after giving it a deep charge, I had the vehicle starting every time for over two months before it lost enough charge to not start. Engine runs decently, has some leaks but nothing major.

I'm selling my 97 T-100 for $1,200 OBO. It has 250,000 miles and recently blew the head gasket. I don't have the time or money to fix it so I've got to say good buy. It's got relatively new BF Goodwrich All-Terrain Tires and Rancho shocks. Ran like a charm until the head gasket. Everythings in good shape except there's a medium dent on the passenger side and a bit of rust on the bumper.

Has 3rd row seating, running boards, roof rack, factory locking differential, Sirius Satellite Radio, and tow package, (with a Tekonsha P3 elec. brake controller). I put the wind deflector back on, but have lost two of the screws that hold it to the legs.
