I plan to combine the 80 series pulley (right) with an extra 22re pulley (left) for the new belt to drive the york. We will see.

I did something similar for my OBA pulley. Found a LR pulley similar to my two groove Toyota pulley, separated one groove from that pulley and then welded it to the front of the Toyota two groove pulley. The new three groove pulley is balanced and spins concentrically.

Very nice work! I am a little worried about balance. How did you balance yours?

The C1917 still has plastic tanks but has a 3 core Copper (93-94 style) looks like you got a 2 core aluminium (95-97) style non Koyo. In my searching for a replacement rad I read on here about some one else having that issue and then finding out from koyo that Go-part is not a Koyo dealer and they (koyo) have had complaints about them before or something along those lines.

I ended up getting a OEM Toyota 93-94 copper 3 core, it hurt ($500) but the quality and knowing it was going to be right off set that a bit.

Man I hope this is not the case... I paid for Koyo and thats what I better get.

Here is the box, does not look koyo.

That is defiantly not a Koyo, I would be calling then right away to get a correct replacement or your money back.

Wasn't too difficult, just eyeballed it and made four equal beads on four quadrants. That and got lucky!

No kidding. Thanks for taking and posting photos. Very nice.

You are doing a great job of documenting every step. Your skills and Toyota experience show through out the rebuild. Cant wait to see it all wrapped up.
Keep up the great work.

PS This thread should be added to the FAQ for the 80 when your done.

Excellent work

Looks great so far! Did you blast the block? What did you do to clean out all the passageways?

The skills on this forum is truly AMAZING! And when in the heck do you find the time? My wife yells at me just for changing the oil in my cars.

I wish I could quit my day job and take an intensive course on how to tear down and rebuild engines.

FWIW, I ordered a Koyo C-1917 radiator from Go-part on July 14th of 2011 ($264.00 including shipping), and that's exactly what I received. Sounds like they got your order mixed up, as mine has all metal tanks and a brass 3-core center.
