Dobinsons steering shock. I installed it as is, not sure what setting it’s at from the factory. Or what the settings even do.

Also wondering how I can mount some kind of bracket for a magnetic radio handheld mount so I don’t have to drill into my dash to mount something. Can’t decide if this would be a really convenient location or just annoying. Wouldn’t want it getting in my way reaching for a cold Dewski now that I actually have a cup holder. Never thought about it back then, but I guess we never drank anything on road trips back in the 90s.

Just screw a rare earth magnet to the mike, it'll then stick to anything carbon steel - including anywhere on your new console. On my 200
I also epoxied magnets behind the plastic dash panels. I learned this trick from Tim @ Gamiviti.

That’s a good idea. I have a magnet on the radio in my 200 that I attach to a ram mount.

Fabricated some brackets to mount some rock lights up and out of the way in the rear.

These worked pretty great for the rear. I have some for the middle too, waiting on sliders to install.

Made some for up at the front of the wheel well behind the front bumper.

Worked great on the passenger side. Drivers side it looks like I have it too close to the Slee condenser skid add on they make for the ARB bumper. I’ll have to figure something else out there. I like having them up that high to broadcast the light. Will have to tinker some more.

Love the pictures. What tires are those, Yokohama MT?

I can feel the cold through your pics.

What type of radio? CB, GMRS, ham? I'm a comms newb
I’m a radio newb too, and too impatient to learn ham so it’s just a Midland GMRS. Seems to work well enough for me in my 200.

It’s not as cold as it looks. 11 degrees I think this morning when I took those pics. But we’ve had 30s to mid 40s lately. Tempts us with spring, then snows enough to make a mess-
But not enough for a good day on snow machines, lol.

Magnetic mount

The Dobinsons MRR shock reservoir bracket design leaves a little to be desired in my opinion. One of mine had bent due to contact with the tire when flexing. Perhaps they designed it the way they did for a reason, but I just didn’t love it. This morning I drilled a new hole about 1 1/2” up towards the shock loop. Then bent the tab on the end so it would hit the top of the spring bracket and keep the bracket from rotating. Seems to give better clearance and it’s solid.

Great snow pics. I installed heated wipers on my truck 3 years ago and of course I swear it hasn't snowed in Ft Collins since.

I am using Slee reservoir brackets with my dobinson shocks. Maybe something to consider?
